Part 24
Yeah, it's easier, but it took me like three hours. Game time, at least, and I was using turbo, so I have no idea how long it really took me.PFlats posted:
L50 on the first trip down? Damn, that's a lot easier.
You get a lot of equipment, it's nice. I've mentioned before that the cave can go to basement 200, but how do we open that?Glazius posted:
I guess the store helps with difficulty, some. But there must be a ton of treasure chests to outfit a party of 9.
Are there other plot gates to the Ancient Cave, or just that one? I can't wait to see how deep it goes.
Anyway, it's SIDE QUEST time! First order of business, the Broffo Cave.
The guy still tries to stop me, but fuck him. Lots of interesting enemies in here.
Vampires and their rose brethren.
Clowns!
and King Hydras, who use DESTROY BEAM which hits a whole column.
and more ghosts!
not noteworthy at all
Scorpions are close to crabs. But not crabs. Luckily I haven't fought any crabs yet.
Wait I fought Ninjas here too, but forgot to take a screenshot.
Giant bird/snakes, hell yeah
a move that confuses enemies who are not as smart as the user. Seena and Melphis can learn it.
Okay basement 8 or maybe 10 is this hooray
Hooray a glass ruby and
useless crap! I think the other two were a power seed and who cares I didn't even write it down the point is this side quest is over time for one more.
If you go to Caan and talk to some guy
he talks about a jewel called the "Purple Eye" which this girl who lives in Copley Forest wants, and he's like in love with her. Well let's go to the middle of Copley Forest and
Listen, house, you weren't here before.
I'm going to guess Maqurine. Anyway talk to her once and you rest for free and talk to her again and
you ask her about the Purple Eye and she says it's important to her. Also it's in Tomis cave the point is let's go tell that kid.
Awesome I'm going to go get it from Tomis Cave even though I don't know how to fight at all!
Wait you'll die. . .
We'd better go rescue him.
Man people are so optimistic in this game!
A move that raises everyone's DEF and RES. Oh yeah the enemies here aren't bad, they're like the ones in Copley Forest.
Basement 7 or 8 or something is this.
This is an awesome weapon that makes your attack effective against flying enemies and raises SPD by like 50. YEAH!
Of course we have to kill it for him.
He's purple look at that. Not too hard, has some moves that hit a row/column but otherwise.
Done
Yeah yeah we give him the purple eye, so he takes it to Maqurine.
She's gone but there's a cat here. And now he's talking about a Blue Eye jewel or something that's in Slani cave on Epsis, he rushes out to get there, I'm not completely sure how he crosses the ocean and gets there in the time it takes me to warp there, but. . .
This is where we chased Dei way back when, but now we can continue down. Again, more Copley Forest enemies.
A cool move for Aima, lowers the ATP of an enemy by 1/5, not as good as that one that lowers it by 1/4 but hey it costs less.
oh hey floor the bottom of this place
Crappy ring, the other two are like. . . more crap really. I dunno, probably a seed of some sort and a revive or a GoddessTear.
Yeah you're not going to be able to do anything.
Oh my, another non-threatening "boss"
Nothing a good energy punch can't take care of! Oh wait I should've tried it with the bunny blade.
well anyway he's dead who cares.
STOP RUNNING OFF TO DANGEROUS PLACES YOU CAN'T FIGHT YOU SUCK YOU SUCK YOU SUCK
And then the cat goes crazy and Marco suggests we give the cat the jewels and VIOLA!
TURNS OUT SHE TURNED INTO A CAT! Something about how she's a cat that wanted to be a human so she stole the cat god's jewels or something. . . the Purple and Blue Eyes. . . Look the point of this sidequest is
Bitch gives me the Cat Ring which seems like it couldn't be that good ri
300 SPEED WOO HOO BITCHES and you can bring it into the cave, how awesome!
Okay side quests over, I'm going to go attempt to get to floor 100 of the Ancient Cave, you'll see why when I get there.
