So to get past the Tower of Death you have to pass through Laphon cave. There was a guard blocking me before, but now he has moved. You can actually go down into this cave, but there's a guard blocking you


And he's right, at this tender level I would be decimated by fairies and beetles and shit. I'll come back later. You can go in anyway but why would I want to do that?!


Upon exiting the cave I walked north (just to spite the guard, who told me to go southwest. Fuck tha police!) and found the village of Majari. I'm not supposed to come here yet, technically, but I did anyway WHAT NOW GAME?!


Here's the inn, with a weapon shop upstairs. The innkeeper tries to charge me a ridiculous 50g to stay here. Fuck that. But hey I can enter the place from the back, I should do that.

Fuck yeah. Also the chest had a hi bomb, which will be very helpful later on.


Ah yes, remember how in the first game buffering spells were awesome? Well, drain is back and as awesome as ever. It will prove vital later, so I'm going to go ahead and buy it with the excessive LP I got as a result of killing Gades early.

Inside the back of the item shop (where the girl scolds you for sneaking in) you find an Awake, and this sweet ring, which is basically a better version of the Jet ring.


The only interesting thing here is an attack spell that apparently only Marco can learn. Weird, huh? I guess Maxim and his descendants are pretty well balanced characters, stat wise, so their attack magic isn't terrible.


If you talk to the villagers, you'll learn that all the wealth accumulated in this city goes to Fugo, because all the land is his property. Also he's generic rich-money-grubbing-asshole-upper-class-bourgeois-pig character, which we will see in a second. For now let's head in the general direction of Fugo's place. First, though, here's the shit I found in the town:
