Before we start this quest, I grinded Mixam up to lv20 because frankly, this part is hard and having a few extra levels under my belt makes it a lot more tolerable. Also, then I can explore a new level of the Old Cave!

A lucky blade perhaps? Nay, it's actually. . . a trap! (I'm so sorry) it's a cursed weapon that skyrockets Aguro's attack, but makes him miss. Fuck that.


Much better idea for a weapon for Aguro, I'd say.


This plaze was a short maze, however it was really simple, the only problem is the enemies were from the area after Elfrea, so they were pretty tough. But I'm way tougher

Before I check out the blue tower, new enemies!


Snails that cast spells! Actually, they only cast SPEW! Which lowers my party's agility. And it's gross.

There are also tarantula's which are sprite recolorings of spiders, which I forgot to screenshot But enough about spiders, let's go to the blue tower!

The other guys are dark elves, I guess they got tired of fighting space marines and settled down here.


Each tower has a corresponding ring, which has nothing to do with finding Elfrea, they're just awesome accessories. This one raises attack and defense


That chest looks important, I need to find a way to get to it, though.

Our first jewel. It goes at the top of the green tower, but we can't place it there yet. Why? You have to do it in a specific order, which is lame but whatever.

There's an inn here which is convenient, since there isn't a town close by. I rested up and continued on!


This one raises all your stats a little, perfect for someone with low stats like Jerin!

The switch being down let me access this middle part by changing which stairs were available. . . I should've taken a better screenshot. Anyway.


Well fuck, that means we'll need to find a replacement!


By putting the switch up, I'm able to access the other part of the above floor, which takes me to the roof.

Yeah, go find Raile Shaia, he's the descendent of Lexis Shaia who helped me and my posse back in the day. He might know how to get to Doom Island, which is underwater, and where the Dual Blade is probably sleeping. It reacts to its owner's energy, and only a descendent of Maxim can wield it. Use it to defeat Daos, the head Sinistral. Go downstairs and use the warp to get to a shrine which takes you to a new continent, go south to some castle and Raile's lab is in the basement.
