Part 46: For the Earth
Chapter 45: For the Earth
Last time we found the Level 5 keycard on the moon and used it to get ourselves a Nu Gundam. Now it's time to tie up all of Earth's loose ends.

Next stop: Ireland. We've got ourselves a red battle here.

BOSS BATTLE: BLUE LEO x4 AND TALLGEESE
This battle is a pretty simple one. Just a Tallgeese and its bodyguard of 4 Leos. The Leos are stronger than usual, and the Tallgeese is fairly powerful itself, but-

Writing for Zechs is super easy. All you have to do is make liberal use of buzzwords like strong, weak, and peace

Well, now that that's over, it's time to finish up with the stuff left on Earth. First we wipe out the last overworld encounter.

BOSS BATTLE METAL ZAKU KING x3
This battle is really easy. They have a lot of armor...

But Cheeto's armor-piercing attacks make short work of them

Next we go back to Mt. Trial. The last door is opened by out new card.

BATTLE ONE: SANDROCK AND ALTRON
This is another easy battle. The only snag is the enemies' special skills.

Altron can short out suits...

and Sandrock can overheat them.

In the end, though, they go down to Godhand and the Nu Gundam pretty easily.

This takes us to an elevator. Golly gee I sure can't get enough of these elevators.

BATTLE TWO: DEATHSCYTHE AND HEAVYARMS
In a way, this battle is both easier and harder than the last one.

On one hand, the Heavyarms can't counterattack, so I can just plow it over with my melee attacks.

On the other, Deathscythe has System Crack, which GREATLY lowers a character's attack, defense, and speed.

Which pretty much leaves them wide open to Heavyarms's strong boosts.

But they still both fall.

And this is our reward!

I'm not really sure what I want to do with the Deathscythe. I'm gonna keep it around until I think of a use for it. As I said before, I really like the Deathscythe.

And the last thing to do on Earth is to explore this strange forest in Japan.

Welcome to the Hory Forest

A long, winding forest road leads us here. This must be the Hory Cave

And deep in the cave lies what I guess is called the Hory Bunker

There are no random encounters in here. There are just a bunch of hory sub boss battles guarding all kinds of hory treasures

I'm so sorry. I'll stop now.

BATTLE ONE: BLACK CANNON x3

Admittedly, I only needed the level 3 card to get in here. I just wanted to save it for after I got the Nu Gundam so I could plow through and get the treasure.

BATTLE TWO: BLACK CANNON x2 AND BLACK GUNDAM

Which leads to the first of three treasure rooms

BATTLE THREE: BLACK FULL ARMOR x3

BATTLE FOUR: BLACK DIAS x3

BATTLE FIVE: BLACK DIAS x 2 AND BLACK SHIKI

And our second treasure room

BATTLE SIX: BLACK MARK II x2
I wish I had something more interesting to say, but when the enemy is doing 200-300 damage and you're doing 1000+, there's not a lot to comment on.

BATTLE SEVEN: BLACK ZETA
This battle is worth mentioning if not for one thing:

This thing actually causes damage to my party instead of scuffing the paint.

Still, Godhand is an unstoppable force at this point in the game. It's basically the I WIN button.

Finally, we reach the last area. Time for one more battle before we get the big treasure.

BATTLE EIGHT: BLACK ZZ
While this battle wasn't very hard, it guards some nice treasure.

First, we have to wipe it out.

Done and done.

And with that, we've officially finished every possible sidequest on Earth at this point in the game. Next stop: the moon!
Next time: Moon Base Gamma!

OZ-00MS Tallgeese
New Mobile Report Gundam Wing - OZ Forces
In AC175, the Tallgeese was built as the world's very first Mobile Suit. However, it was so heavy that the thrust needed to maintain flight put incredible G forces on the pilot. It was disassembled and put away to serve as a museum piece. 20 years later Milliardo Peacecraft, disguised as Zechs Merquise, took the Tallgeese out of storage and made it his own personal Mobile Suit.
