Part 3: Chapter 2.5 : Virginia, Ellen, and a little bit of a mess.

Hah, it looks like I underestimated the goonish tendency towards catlike curiosity. The smiley vote will continue on to the scheduled time, but as for the confront/call vote goes, I'm calling it now to bring you lot a short update, since this next choice happens very soon after the one you've just voted on, and I don't think it'd be fair to keep you waiting another 8 hours for the results of THIS choice, which I'll use for the next chapter proper.

Chapter 2.5 : Virginia, Ellen, and a little bit of a mess.

Well, I'm not going to get any answers just standing around, that's for sure, and while I'm sure people have their secrets, Ellen doesn't seem to be a bad person. Might as well ask- who dares wins and all that.

"Eek!" Ellen jumps, and then turns to me. "Oh, hey, Mary," she says, as if she wasn't caught pawing Virginia's unmentionables. "Didn't see you there. I was just tidying up."

"Yeah, well," I reply. "In case you haven't noticed, that's Virginia's stuff. And in case you haven't noticed again, that was sarcasm."

"Yes," Ellen nodded. "I mean, yes, I know that's Virginia's stuff. I wasn't stealing anything, don't worry, I was just tidying her stuff up because she doesn't do it herself."

"Because she- she's forcing you to be her maid?!"

"Wait, what- no!" Ellen declares.

"Hey guys, what's up?" she asks, a book under her arms- looks to be something on world religions.

Well, I may not know about world religions, but there's gonna be one heck of a Bible-thumpin' on the podium that's her cranium if I don't get some answers. "Why are you making poor Ellen clean up after you?!" I ask.

"She isn't!" Ellen yells in return, as Virginia glances between the two of us in bewilderment.

"Okaaay, can someone tell me what's going on?" Virginia asks.

Ellen raises her hands up in apology as she says, "Sorry, Mary saw me putting away some of your clothes."

"Hey, cool!" Virginia laughs. "So you're the one who was doing that?"

"Nah, don't sweat it," Virginia says. "I'm not very good at picking up after myself- back home, Mom always did it for me. Still, it's been less than a week; I didn't think it was that bad."

At that, Virginia gives Ellen an apologetic look. "Well, I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I can keep things perfect all the time."

I sigh. We're going to have to live together for a year or so, maybe more depending on how the semester go- wait, I have an idea!

All right, goons, vote carefully, for this decision might have FAR REACHING CONSEQUENCES™! I'll extend the voting cutoff a little bit, fear not.
