Part 5: Tournaments Are Child's Play
1Yr. 5Mo. 3Wk.I had a weird dream last night. I'm, uh, not sure what to make of it. It was something like this...
So... yeah.
Anyway, I looked over your recommendations. Between them and my own ideas, I think I'm going to use a POWx2/ACCx2/SPD/DEF regimen. We'll see how that works out.
As for tournaments, seems you guys were in favor of launching right in and seeing how it goes. Fair enough; Chucky needs the rest anyway.
Geez, he sleeps like the dead. Anyway, I'll see about borrowing a camcorder or something so you can see how the tournament turns out!

And I'm back. Here's the video I promised...
Lessons learned:
- Unlike FIMBA and IMa, many TMA fights are single-elimination, at least at this level.
- Monsters can enter a state of composure that makes them harder to hit... but not impossible. A good smack will knock them out of their cockiness.
- Chucky benefits greatly from a guiding hand.
- Perhaps most importantly, it looks like Chucky has what it takes to compete in this weight class! Well done, soldier.
Since Chucky did so well, I'm going to go ahead and enter him in a few more tournaments, try my luck at ranking up. There's another tournament battle in the second week of June, and a league battle (that's round-robin style) first week of July. If Chucky does as well there as he did here, we'll be in shape for the official match the third week of July. I'll keep you up to date!
