Part 21: Okami Artbook 1
Considering that this game is renowned for its Japanese wood-cut, water-colour style artwork, I am very glad to share the artwork from the Okami: Official Complete Works, a very detailed and informative artbook. It's full of images and concept art and artist notes...it's an incredible book for an incredible game.

Characters
Okami Amaterasu
"Goddess of the Sun, she is worshipped as "Benevolent Mother to us all" and "Okami". To those of little faith, she appears as a mundane white wolf, but these images with the red lines on her body depict her true form. She utilises thirteen divine powers to bend the elements to her will, and in the legends they are known as the "Celestial Brush Techniques."
Issun the Wandering Artist
"He may have a smart mouth, but he is honourable and has a soft spot for damsels in distress."
Wood Sprite Sakuya
The tree sprite dwelling within the divine tree "Konohana", Sakuya has always preserved the balance of nature. However, as the peoples' faith faded, so did her powers. In order to combat the return of Orochi, Sakuya used what little power she had left to give life to Ammy's soul on the mortal plane.
Village Elder Mr Orange
"Though the village elder can sometimes be difficult, his faith burns strongly."
Mushi, Hayabusa (the dog) and Mushi's Mother
Mushi
"A young boy living in Kamiki Village. He spends his day running with his dog, and his most recently captured insect following close behind at the end of a string. He manages to involve Ammy in his mischievous pranks involving his mother's crops"
Mushi's Mother
"The Mother of Mushi grows radishes in a small field, and tends to her crops with a deep love. Her struggle never ceases as she tries to protect her crops from the digging paws of her son, their dog, and even Ammy. Many interlopers have been known to be laid out flat by a single swing of her great fist."
The Travelling Void Monk
"While travelling the country as part of his training, this priest was swept up in the confusion following Orochi's release. As a priest, he is able to see demons and will therefore, accurately keep track of the amount of time it takes Ammy to dispatch them."
Enemies
Green Imp
"A depraved demon that nests in areas where energies stagnate. He can look quite jovial while he is dancing his little jig and playing his flute. Paralysing his victims is about the worst he will do, but he has been known to carry and spread disease as well."
