Mitsuru called me up this morning, wanted to know if I could go somewhere today.

So yeah we hung out for a while, it was pretty great honestly.

These guys do physical stuff and lightning I'm pretty sure. Attack Mirrors or Tetrakarn could help a lot to neuter that, and of course as with all groups of enemies you really want to drag down one or two pretty quickly and reduce the damage your party is taking.

We pushed on as always.

Not long after, we found the very last Guardian.



It was sort of strange, actually.

Boss Battle: Jotun of Grief
Here we are, the final Guardian and one of the more interesting. So, he is healed by all attacks except Pierce and Almighty. He will try to Enrage the party with Infuriate to get people to attack him with non-Pierce weapons. He'll also use powerful Almighty and physical attacks. Unlike original P3 you can't switch your MC's weapon to Pierce, so keep a close eye on things. If you've got them at level Aigis, Yukari, and Ken is the ideal party for this since they're all safe to be enraged. As long as you know his gimmick he's pretty easy.

We beat it down, of course.



We did it! That was the last one!
We're almost to the top!
It was such a long way, but now we're almost there…!
Together, we can see this through to the end!

Which meant there were no more obstacles in our path.



We'd reached the top.

That's probably what Ryoji-kun was talking about…
The way to the promised place… That's where we're supposed to go on January 31st…

Still, we had some time, so I decided to deal with a little problem which had dogged our steps since we first entered Tartarus.



It was time to face down Death itself.

The Reaper:
The Reaper is an interesting fight. He's got Almighty magic, all elemental magic, Light and Dark, and some physical stuff as well. Crucially, though, he can also Break your immunities. This is really useful, because the more immunities your party has the more likely he'll just waste a turn Breaking one. Keep your buffs up, and ideally actually bring debuffs as well. My party is a big under leveled, so this takes a long time. Chumps use Armageddon for this in original P3, but that's actually not entirely simple in this so I'd suggest just fighting him. He hits hard but he's very killable.

And in these final days, Death itself did die.



So, you've defeated The Reaper, have you? Most impressive.
You are approaching the level of strength I hoped you'd achieve…
