Luckily I was there with my duct tape to fix it. (This strikes me as a significant detail...) (I'd better write this down in the Court Record.)
I guess that's some strong duct tape, if it held up to a stabbing a couple hours later. In fact, you can see in the flashback image above (behind the partially-transparent text box) that the spear head has broken off.

(Thus the nap...) Anyway, I saw him dragging his foot when he walked. (Dragging his foot... okay.) You can see he's dragging his leg! See? Clear as day!
Maybe it really is Powers, and we're barking up the wrong tree here? Also you can kind of see the duct tape wrapped around where the spear head joins the shaft.
