Police Quest II: The Vengeance was released in 1988, just about a year after its predecessor. It was one of the earliest games to use the new SCI engine, developed by Sierra to allow them more flexibility in their games. The effort showed; this game is far more dynamic than the first, and allows a bit more mouse-based interaction (which was all the rage at the time). The graphical upgrades also cannot be overlooked; as you can probably see from the above screenshots, we're dealing with a much more advanced color palette and a larger resolution. (I haven't resized any of the screens for this game.)
As for the plot... well, let's just say it's appropriate for something you might see in the late 80's. I hope you'll join me in this very thread for...
