Introduction
This is the cover for Resident Evil 1 for the PSOne.We will not be playing this game because that has been done probably as many times as Mario 64 or Sonic 2. We will be playing this.
This is Resident Evil 1 for the Gameboy Color. Stop racking your brain trying to recall playing this in your childhood, because it was never released! Until now...
INCOMING INFORMATION SHIT
Following the success of the original PlayStation edition Resident Evil in 1996, Capcom expanded the game in a number of ports - one of those planned was for the Game Boy Color. In 1999, HotGen Studios, Ltd., a company in the United Kingdom, was selected by Capcom to port the game.
A game that until recently was probably one of the most desired "lost" games in the video game universe. People were known to sacrifice their first, second, and even third born children in hopes it would please the gaming gods into leaking the prototype of Resident Evil 1 GBC port. Around November someone on the Assembler Forums mentioned that they knew someone who had the fabled prototype. Usually this is where the tale ends, but this guy was someone who was highly respected, and known to have these kinda connections. He held a fundraiser for the contact who owned the game, once the goal would be met, he would release the rom for public enjoyment. The goal was met many months before the deadline(March)and the owner graced us with 2 versions of the game.
Cart 1 is a more playable complete version(considered about 90% finished)
Cart 2 features no Load Option, nor has Jill's story. It features more slim Sprites, different starting inventory, and different text font. It is a lot more incomplete and not really playable beyond messing around.
I will be accompanied by my pals in Let's Play, Bacon(Weirdbias) and
So I will be playing through Chris' story then Jill's if I feel like it. We will obviously be playing Cart 1 for the LP, but I plan to show off Cart 2 in extra videos along the way.
We once again enter the world of Survival Horror...

CHRIS REDFIELD[NOT DEAD]
After being kicked out of the Air Force, Chris became a drifter until he met Barry Burton. Barry recruited him for the newly-formed S.T.A.R.S. Now Chris has been reassigned to a smaller unit at Raccoon City HQ. He is unable to read sheet music. He is actually unable to read at all.
BARRY BURTON[M.I.A]
Chris Redfield's old friend and partner. Former SWAT Team member, Barry maintains and supplies weapons for all S.T.A.R.S. Members. He has 16 years of experience, and has led many successful projects. He keeps extra Colt Pythons in his beard.
JILL VALENTINE[POSSIBLY A SANDWICH]
An intelligent Soldier that has rescued many S.T.A.R.S. members from danger in the past, Jill has been reassigned to Raccoon City just like Chris. She is excellent with special mechanical devices such as lock-picks. That's about it. She really isn't capable of anything else.
ALBERT WESKER[SLEEPING WITH THE ULTIMATE FAILURE]
Wesker has risen quickly inside the S.T.A.R.S. organization and currently leads the Alpha Team. Viewed by many as a "cool guy," from his snappy haircut to his perpetual shades, Wesker was recruited by a headhunter for his sharp insight and eventually founded the S.T.A.R.S. unit in Raccoon City. Possibly having an affair with the "Ultimate Failure".
KENNETH J. SULLIVAN[DECEASED]
Kenneth J. Sullivan was S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team's point man and in charge of reconnaissance and position security. Kenneth also put his knowledge as a chemist to good use. You know until he died. (he is the guy the cinematic zombie was dining on)
FOREST SPEYER[DECEASED]
Forest is a great sniper in addition to his duties as Bravo's Vehicle Specialist. He is a consummate professional, and his work earns him great respect from the other members. He hates birds and loves carrying around Rocket Launchers.
RICHARD AIKENS[DECEASED]
He was a member of the Special Tactics And Rescue Service, serving as the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team communications expert. On a personal level, Richard is described as being a "positive, sweet guy", who, despite his relatively young age, is "surprisingly cool-headed and calm under pressure." Then he got bite by a big ass snake. That shit ain't cool.
REBECCA CHAMBERS[KAWAII DESU NE]
The youngest member of the group, Rebecca has been recruited for her knowledge and First Aid. She is nervous around other members, both because of her age and lack of experience. She is good at servicing helicopters. She might also secretly be Sub-Zero.
ENRICO MARINI[DECEASED]
Enrico was the captain of Raccoon City's Police squad, S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team, and second-in-command of the S.T.A.R.S. unit under captain Albert Wesker. Enrico was a competent and capable mission leader. He was overly competitive with Chris. He also was made of straw and enjoyed laying about in green jello.
