Part 5: Rosierqueen
Once you leave the Restaurant in Mothergreen, you get thrown into a scene that is pretty lengthy for this game and introduces a very... special character (no, it's not Polin).

Yeah, Etoile's a bit of a dick...

At least it's better than being jealous of of her English...

...Yeah, let's just go to the Wonder Woods and get that fish already. There's two new places we could go instead, a bridge or an ancient "forest", but neither have anything to do with anything right now. Heck, we can't get past the first screen of the bridge and the forest is optional and serves no apparent purpose other than grinding; it does, however, contain one enemy that outright vanishes once you advance the plot beyond a specific point.
But, hey, there's still a detour we can do; it's not even that big of one, since we're just off to the Wonder Woods anyway and this is on the way...

Yep, we're going to go check out the cave. There's a reason we didn't come here earlier, and that's because other than containing three semi-useful healing items it had nothing of value to offer. This time, though...

There's a puppet that's popped up. You need Kid to make him spawn; that is the only requirement.

And with that, he teleports away into the ether never to be seen again... unless you leave the screen and come back. Then he's just mulling around unsure of what to do with himself.

Tell brings our total number of party members to 5. You can only ever have 4 people in the party at a time, and Cornet can never be removed. This means there's only 3 choices but removing Kururu is pretty silly since she's borderline unkillable especially this early, Sharte is the only one capable of using magic effectly and she gets decent healing spells so she's pretty useful in that regard. This leaves the fourth slot, realistically, to either Tell or Kid. Assuming neither has levelled up, Tell is the higher level but Kid is statistically better. Kid also gets the ability to buff/debuff... albeit only for speed, and Tell eventually gets an instant death attack. It's personal choice here so I just alternate between the two for now.

At level 5, Kururu gets her second Thunder elemental spell. It's slightly more powerful than the first but it costs twice as much SP.

At the same level, Sharte gets the ability to cure the Sleep ailment. Said ailment won't crop up for quite some time. Seems kinda redundant at the moment, but better to get it too early than too late I suppose.

Contrary to what you expected, this is just an easy fight...
...Best make that a very easy fight.

Aside from the obvious differences of their being one more cat and you (potentially) having a fourth party member, this fight is exactly the same as before. The cats are no stronger now than they were the last time you could fight them.

Since Etoile stole a good chunk of time that'll have to wait a while...
Next time:he's a minister you say?
