Part 31: The Barrowland of History

Whilst the previous chapter was the longest in the game, and had a lot of places to go to... this one doesn't. It's comprised almost entirely of cutscenes and is thus incredibly short.
It also has a unique track for the entirety of this chapter that for some reason ISN'T actually on the OST, which is a damn shame.

We could do that but since we're confined to Orange Village for the entirety of this part, there's nowhere to really go.

There's an earthquake now; if you don't talk to Mustaki here, Cherie isn't actually at the church yet.

Yeah, so would I. I wonder just how unsufferable she'll end up in a few years time...

Now that we have some semblence of control, let's go see if there's anything interesting in the one place we can be for the entirety of the chapter.

Um, okay... maybe trying to talk to the NPCs is a bad idea then. There's probably some items hidden somewhere, right?

Ah, never mind that then (though there is a few things you can find... double digit Inotium!). Guess there's really nothing to do but go to the church. And the instant you enter that...?

I get the feeling that whoever was in charge of bug testing and such just gave up around midway through chapter 5 or got so bored with the Myao fight that they just figured the rest of the game was good enough, since even something as innocuous as a song has a pretty big error in it; the english subtitles are noticably out of synch. Like, Cherie starts sining a good few seconds before they even appear which is pretty weird since every other song to date doesn't have that problem (that I noticed at least).
Nothing much else to say other than unlike the last two occurances of the same thing it actually has new lyrics. And Jody Fleischer almost sounds like she's just phoning it in here. Or maybe that's just me mentally comparing it to the last occurance of this song where she dd Etoile's half.

Earthquake again. Almost makes me wonder when the generic screenshake, in and of itself, will be used for than this really. Sure, it gets used for other things occasionally but they're not to indicate something that isn't an earthquake.

We might not have done, but a bawling Etoile knows where she is; only, she's not around here by the looks of things and we can't access the underground. This might be a problem...
Next time: there's something about Cherie.
