Part 122: We Had Some Breadcrumbs, But Lucia Ate Them

The flowers talk?

Gauss: Don't remember what they said. I don't usually listen even to people! Anyway, the flowers were deep in that forest.

Very well. If that is your decision... But please first heed my words very carefully. This forest is guarded by a mysterious power. You must listen to the flowers if you want to proceed. However, as flowers are all rather fickle, they often don't tell the truth.

We control Lucia for this section. It's a nice touch that all the characters have a spot where they take the lead. Anyway, at the beginning of the forest there's a chest with a Pure Extract inside. There's also a White Flower and a Save Point. If we take a wrong turn in the maze up ahead, we'll end up back here. There are also monsters in the forest: Beatrice, Golden Beetle and Penangglan.


Down the trail, we come to a fork and some more of the talking flowers. To find the correct way through the forest, we have to remember what the color of the last flower we talked to was. We talked to a White Flower, so the Red Flower here is lying.


Once we talk to the Red Flower, the Blue Flower will tell the truth. So we go down the left-hand path here.


On the next screen, we take the middle path.


This brings us to a Black Flower and a White Flower.


After taking the first right, we find a chest with a Tarot card, The Chariot.


After getting the card, we go right and then left. Since we talked to a White Flower Last, we need to talk to the Blue Flower first and then do what the Yellow Flower says.

First, right. Second, middle. Third, left. Fourth, right. That should get the job done. Good luck to you!
Umm... Go left..., middle, middle again... Finally, go right... I think that was the way...?


You know the drill now, follow the Yellow Flower's instructions. There's a chest on the right after we take the first middle path with a Slow 4 inside.


We come to another set of Black and White Flowers. We listen to the White Flower, naturally.


Two more Flowers. The order here is Yellow, then Red.

Hmm... I'm not really sure... I think you go right...then left...then middle? Then right. Then left... I think...
Now, listen, okay? From here, you go left, left, left, left, left and left. Don't mess up, now!

Aye, aye, sir!


A Blue Flower and a Black Flower here. However, if we talk to the Black Flower, we'll screw up the circle o' truth, so Blue it is.


A Save Point. We must be getting close.


The Flowers start talking as soon as we approach.

You mustn't be so rude! Don't you have any idea how difficult it is to make it this far?
Shut yer yap, paleface! ...Well, they're here now, I guess, so I suppose I've gotta deal with 'em. Hey, stinkweeds! Turn left here and get the hell out of this forest. And don't show your ugly mugs again!
