Part 123: Hold Me Closer, (Not So) Tiny Dancer
Last time on Shadow Hearts, Covenant:We got fucked over by a geranium.
Looking at it logically, the White Flower never said it would show us the way to go to reach our goals. It said it would lead us deeper into the forest, and the Black Flower would lead us out. Of course, there comes a point when you're smack dab in the middle of the forest, and the only way to go is out. Otherwise, you just end up wandering in circles for eternity. Which doesn't really make any sense, because two members of our party can freaking fly.
Anyway, we need to listen to the Black Flower this time and take the left-hand path.
Well, there's something you don't see every day.
Gaap: You guessed it. *sigh* I was going to just let you wander around the forest forever, but...
Gaap: You should feel honored, having the great me be the one to take your lives from you!
There aren't any special tricks to Gaap, besides having a lot of HP. He uses Rock Crest and Meteor Burst.
I used the opportunity to try out some new skills, including Blanca's Red Comet.
Lucia gets in the last blow. Fitting, since she's the one that got us into this.
And peace once again falls on the forest.
Gaap: He he. But that's okay. I bet if I go with you, I'll see things a whole lot more interesting than this forest!
You got the Gaap Crest.
And now we have another bored demon tagging along with us in a Crest (Earth Resist, Rock Crest).
That drunk guy sure was lucky.
Everybody! Over here!
Wow! It's a real Adriatic Magnolia!
But it's in the middle of Germany! It's not anywhere near...you know what, never mind.
The very one! We could make some really, really amazing aroma oil with this! Come on, everybody! Let's hurry up and take it to Carla before it withers!
She's got us running errands all over the world...
The game automatically takes us to Carla's place.
Sorry about the wait. I never thought I'd get to work with a real Adriatic Magnolia again! Here you go, Adriatic Magnolia aroma oil!
You got Aurora Oil
I know, I know. I'll be careful with it! Tee hee hee!

We take the right path at the first fork and come to an area where the path splits into three.
There's a Seventh Key hidden half-way down the right path.
In the middle path there's a unique accessory for Lucia, The Seven Stars. Equipping it makes every tarot effect Special. I'm...not entirely sure what that means.
Now, back to Carla's.
So how has it been going?
Yeah, she was stuffing her face with rice cakes the whole time in Japan.
Tee hee hee! Actually, I think I gained about ten pounds!
What?! Wait just a minute, girl! A dancer can't afford to gain that much weight!
But they were just so good! I had toasted rice cakes, and rice cake soup and--
Rice cake soup?
Oh, brother! What that man sees in you, I'll never know.
Says the lady shaped like a teapot.
Here is my handle, here is my spout...
Said he'd be in Southampton until next week.
Until next week? And then he's going away somewhere else?
How should I know? Ask him.
Well, I guess we should go. Lawrence is hanging out on the tower above where we met the straw trader.
What is it? What did you want to see me about?
Well, actually, headquarters is sending me on an important mission to Alexandria. They want me to lead the Bedouins in an uprising against the Turkish government to secure victory for the British. I don't know when I'll be coming back. ...There's something I want to tell you before I go.
What is it? What do you want to tell me?
I've known you since you were a child...
That's right.
I'm nearly ten years older than you are, and I've got a secure job... Although, I suppose what I do isn't very safe... But I do think it's very important work, very worthwhile, and I'm happy to do it.
Of course it's important! Being a spy for England must be so exciting!
Are you...are you sure you want to go through with this Lawrence?
...So I've been thinking. When this assignment is over, I'd like to retire somewhere and enjoy life in peace. Perhaps relaxing in the sun, or fishing... Maybe on that small island in the Adriatic Sea...?
Are you really, really sure?
Your wife?
Wh-what do you think? I hope you'll say yes...
But?
...I've gained all this weight! Are you sure you don't mind?
You gained weight? Uh, about how much?
Tee hee! More than twenty pounds!!
Well, as long as you don't get like Carla, I suppose...
Oh, you!
You got Bride's Dress
I'd like you to dance in this. Just for me, of course!
Tee hee! Naughty man! But all right. When you finish your assignment and come back, I'll dance for you all you like!
Bride's Dress is Lucia's alternate costume. Like Karen's outfit, it takes up an accessory slot and changes Lucia's battle appearance.
Maybe it'll work out all right. Maybe Lucia will keep him off of motorcycles.
In other news, I got Miserati and Libertis up to Level 10.
