How this works is if everyone is Berserk, you get a chance to do a Ring Test to escape. It only works on regular battles; I don't believe you can escape from boss battles.

There's a slight lag while recording, so my Ring scores aren't up to what they usually are, especially not the perfect rate. There's an accessory I can get later that slows the Ring speed, so that should help.
