Update 20: The first Kalpa

The first kalpa is opened. The sound will haunt me.


This is the first Kalpa. It is weird. Wooden structures, and weird organic squishy sounds when one opens a door.





Wrong. There is no better grinding place than the Kalpas. The encounter rate is absolutely insane. Even more with an attract pipe.



And it has these special gray doors.


They open to circular chambers like this one.



HOLY SHIT CERBERUS OUT OF NOWHERE.





What he wants is to Insert Name to defeat all the bosses. Again.



LORD VOLDEMORT?


That is TWO PRESS TURNS.


Eeeeh.




She's bald.





Well, fuck, that was not useful.

I suppose that one could come back to see where the next fiend is, could be useful for finding where the Fiends are, if one does not know beforehand.
I never used her, though.





It means that the demons were once gods, then YHVH came and demoted them all to demonhood and became one of the most pwoerful beings in te universe. That is a constant in all the SMT games. And that Lucifer is probably planning something to do.

So it can evolve, eh?



Damned barriers. Without barriers this place would be far more enjoyable.


The architecture changed. Instead of square sectors it is a big round tunnel.
The architecture will get more and more organic as one advances through the Kalpas.




Aaaah, the Shady Broker. He is qutie useful, and his demons are usually worth it. Why? You'll see.






Kinda? IT IS FUCKING HIGH DAMNIT. Fortunately, with the Kalpa encounter rate, that money was raised quickly.






It is ugly and horrible. But it has some really useful skills.
Trafuri allows you to instantly escape any nonboss battle, just like a smoke bomb, Estoma reduces the random encounter rate, Riberama INCREASES the random encounter rate, Liftoma lifts the party to prevent poisonfloor damage, Lightoma lights up dark areas (dark areas are FAR LESS HORRIBLE than in the previous games), Lucky Find allows you to randomly find loot in the overworld, and Watchful allows it to gain XP without directly fighting. It is useful.



It is awesome.




This is good advice.


HUGE first floor.


Locked door. Damnit.






And weak against Dyonisus. That's good.

DAMNATION. Will have to take another route.


Aaaand that's a freaking hole. Freaking holes. At least they are now marked on the map now.

This room is special. The lightless places are the ones with holes. It is annoying.



And thus, Liftoma is a must.




NO. These bastards get you drunk and steal your wallet. And make you go back to the entrance of the Kalpa.

JACKPOT.


DEATHSTONES. Deathstones allow you to summon fiends. When you summon one for the first time you have to use one of these.After that, you can always resummon them with the Compendium and not waste any stones.













This is it. THE final part of the first kalpa.
