The max operating depth of an Ohio is over 800m. A Kilos is 350. Unfortunately that's not the max diving depth of a Ohio. The max diving depth so you don't end up like the USS Thresher is about 400 meters. Regardless the nuclear reactor is the main reason you can go much deeper. Less fear of using all the fuel in the descent.
