Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti is the 1990 Famicom rendition of the Splatterhouse series. Splatterhouse 1 through 3 are violent beat-em-ups where a man named Rick uses the powers of his haunted mask to murder monsters and save the woman he loves.
Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti is a ridiculous platformer with movie references, cheap jokes, and farting.

Actually, by request. Another LPer I know from YouTube (The J Man) came up with a project. For this year's Halloween, he would get himself and three other people to LP Splatterhouse games. When he asked me, a creepy grin crept across my face and I announced "Wanpaku Graffiti". This game... this is the game I would play. The others are serious horror games. This game? Silly, very silly.
What's the game like?
Basic platforming, short range melee weapon. Platform puzzles. Absurdity on par with Monster Party. Farting. Experience Points. Burgers. Movie References. Harsh but entertaining gameplay. Lots of bosses. To be totally honest, this is a pretty solid game.
Wow, that sounds pretty good. What about the graphics and sound?
Both utterly ridiculous.
So who's playing Splatterhouse 1-3?
The J Man is doing 1 and 3 I believe. Last I heard, Duke of the Bump was doing 2. You'll be able to see those videos too. It's Halloween, damnit. All four games will be linked to from here.
Well, how are Splatterhouse 1-3?
Sidescrolling murderous games, aside from 3 which is sidescrolling like Double Dragon. With doors. And maps. And pain. Oh, I don't envy the poor bastard who winds up playing that (currently The J Man).
