Part 115: Operation Mange Poutine: Canadian Turn 5
Operation Mange Poutine: Canadian Turn 5Well that was worrisome.
The saved game I was sent had the title 'maybe fucked' or something like that, but it honestly doesn't look that bad at all (although I would rather the Greek losses last turn weren't as high).
The Americans are moving some forces forwards. It's vital to remember that the tanks labelled as M1A2 SEPs are in fact much less dangerous M1A1 AIMs driven by National Guard crews. The American force hasn't done much yet, but we can't count on that staying true for too much longer.
The southern Motor Infantry group along with a Leopard C3 Platoon are in position to engage the enemy at a moment's notice. They may even still be undetected (although that's hardly something you can know for sure in this game).
In hindsight, our reserve Motor force would be immensely more useful to the south than to the north, so that's where they are going.
The northern force proper is not only in position, but starting to unload troops and deploy them in various defensible positions (such as the hill that Urcinius turned into a fortress with 8 guys, a Milan ATGM, and a modestly-priced set of silverware). As you can see, an additional unit of Bisons are moving through the forest. They should be able to move out along a wide front and outflank the enemy as they redeploy to reinforce the recently crushed northern front. I think we have the odds in our favour simply because of how much devastation has been unleashed upon the enemy force to the north.
Does this seem adequate? If so, I will send the files to the opposition late tonight. If not, I'm happy to hear any comments, criticisms or dumb jokes.
