Part 19: Operation Red Afternoon: Turn 5
Operation Red Afternoon: Turn 5Our forces to the South are both at full strength and in perfect position to strike at the enemy's flank in the city. As soon as the word is given, we can launch an attack that may be our last hope.
Meanwhile, our forces in the center have repositioned themselves and deployed infantry, ready to both defend and attack. They are in a much better position than they were a turn ago.
Oddly enough, the only force that was given any trouble this turn was the one to the north, which had a run-in with a Leopard 2. I can't imagine that the enemy had enough capacity to requisition an entire company, but we should be cautious.
Thus, the force to the North deploys itself similarly.
While capturing the VP's to the north, the BTR-40 crew confirms that the enemy has heavy armour to the north, so outflanking them to the south was a good idea.
Here it is, the Leopard 2. It's not nearly as dangerous to our forces as the Cobras, but their still nothing to take lightly, and they will probably outfight a T-80 in a one on one match.
