Part 21: Operation Red Afternoon: Turn 6
I apologise for taking so long to post an update, but I've been absolutely swamped with work for the past few days. Everything should be ok now, though.Operation Red Afternoon: Turn 6
In the north, a German Marder A1 has been destroyed by 125mm gunfire. This is the first significant enemy unit loss of the match (sadly).
Much more important is that our northern units are taking up a solid position against the enemy. From now on, Urcinius will have to think twice about attacking us on his own turn.
The BMP that deployed the Strela team to the south is now regrouping to attack from the southeast (which I believe is completely and utterly unguarded).
Another T-80 is lost to a swingfire missile (fired by a British Stryker) as the armoured platoon climbs over the ridge.
That loss is immediately repaid in full.
The force in the center also manages to move up unhindered. This force has the capacity to aid either the force to the north or the south with a flanking maneuver (or both if you would like).
Also, one of our crews was successfully rallied. Killing something with the crew is our new secondary objective.
As far as things dying goes, it hasn't been a notable turn, but as far as our position in the battle, we are much better off right now than we were a turn ago. The enemy will now be punished for every attack they do or do not throw at us because of our overwatch capacity.
