Part 69: November Cod Crisis: Canadian Turn 9
November Cod Crisis: Canadian Turn 9This turn is mostly consolidation. Nothing much happens here.
A Bazooka Team fires at us, at which point it is taken out by our sniper within the western force. I think our main concern at this point should be ambushes by enemy units that are left in the northern segment.
Our MAW Team sneaks up on a Danish Infantry Group and pins it with several waves of fire. It does not notice/retaliate.
Something else I find silly about the way this game handles infantry is that smaller groups of infantry are harder to detect but have just as much combat capacity. This means that a designated AT team can outmatch an infantry squad or section in several contexts. I wonder how potent a 1000 point force of only Bazooka Teams would be?
In any case, our eastern force moves up even further to engage the remaining Danish infantry in the vicinity. Obviously, they don't move along the road to avoid taking fire from the Panzer III Turret to the south.
The Infantry cluster to the north of this shot are a bit of a concern, but they've also been heavily suppressed.
Our western force has now linked up with the northern force, and they are now consolidating so they can move back to the south and engage the rest of the enemy force.
There is still the question of allocating troops to capture the VP's in the area that may or may not be defended by some remaining Danish forces.
How should we handle that?
