November Cod Crisis: Canadian Turn 12
This is both a compromise, and a very reasonable one at that. You will recall from the Obong-Ni Ridge playthrough that capturing the points in the last few turns of activity can mean several hundred points difference (which is an absolute fuckton).
Even just securing the northern points will mean we have almost half of the points on the map (more on that later).
Our forces push through the center. This means that the initial wave of fighting is finally done with! There are still a few P-III Turrets up here, and there may be a few entrenched Infantry Groups, but that's probably it (if even that).
Our eastern force can now move north at its leisure. Obviously, that turret will have to die, but that goes without saying.
Meanwhile, our western force, devoid of any objectives behind it, continues south.
Neither force encounters any enemy forces, old or new. This lull in combat has made me realise that Sam. must also be consolidating his forces. We should consider how he may be doing that.
Now that the battle has shifted from the tactical to the strategic, I am going to be putting up a full map screencap.
Our force completely occupies the center north, and is poised to be deployed in either direction.
Almost all of the VP's are on the eastern segment of the map, so we may want to consider splitting that force.
Also, we need to decide what our primary objective is. Are we going for the VP's right now? Or should we try to crush what little probably remains of Sam's forces?
Also, should we even try hunting down the bunkers, or can we try to ignore them and focus on more present threats?
