Part 90: Operation Chocolate Spain: Spanish Turn 3
Once again, we are firmly graced with the presence of Lady Luck, even if it isn't our turn. Also, how many people are still following this thread?Regardless, I'm still excited about this turn because... just because.
Operation Chocolate Spain: Spanish Turn 3
MT has slowed down sending troops through the middle this turn. Only a single Halftrack falls to the teeth of the Greyhounds this round.
Meanwhile, his central Patton moves south, and gets buttoned by virtually every gun on the ridge. It will be easy prey for us this turn. For the record, that means the two remaining southern Pattons have too much suppresion to properly function.
This leaves the northern side of the fight.
The northern Patton drives right up to one of our Greyhounds and takes two volleys at point blank range. This is follows up by the two Spanish Greyhounds (and a single truck) getting opened up by close range fire.
This screenshot has not been doctored. The northern front has been held entirely by 2 armoured cars, under the command of one Sergeant Maximus von Fuckhammer III.
If you wanted me to risk it, it could be possible to drive the Greyhounds around to the rear of the Patton and take a shot at the rear armour, but that could be quite risky. The important thing is, our flank is now perfectly secure.
The question now is, at what point should I dictate the terms of surrender?
