Part 98: Operation Mange Poutine: Turn 0
Well, here it is guys: The beginning of the end of the end of the middle.Operation Mange Poutine: Turn 0
Because the SEAD planes are being engaged at Stand-off range, and the enemy doesn't have a lot of powerful SAMs. The planes really aren't in any plausible danger.
The Opposition forces, however, are in plenty. 2 HUMRAAMS, a number of Type 88 SPAAGs (about 4 or 5) and a Challenger II Main Battle Tank (!).
Ironically, the only weapon that actually hits our aircraft is the 7.62mm AAMG. Can they even attack aircraft in real life? You'd think the bullets just wouldn't be travelling fast enough to properly engage.
There are also some enemy casualties by way of artillery. Can anyone identify those vehicles wrecks?
We do lose about 700 points worth of artillery (203mm Battery and 2 105mm Batteries - Routed, not Destroyed) to counterbattery fire, however. The enemy must not have a lot of artillery if that's all they accomplished, though.
It seems the enemy has some 155mm US Artillery, and some PHL-03s (Chinese version of the BM-30 Smerch).
Here are our troops; now we need orders. Remember, the more contradictory to each other, and to proper military theory, the better. We only have one final epic battle to fuck up, so we better fuck it up proper.
