: “Jade, I guess...”

: “...Is that an attempt to harass me?”

: “Hey! I might be grateful to you, you know!”

: “...No way.”

: “He's lying.”

: “You liar.”

: “That must be a lie.”

: “Okay.”



: “....Wh-what the? Where's Jade?”

: “If you give me Gald, me give back!”

: “What? You took Jade?! Are you insane?!”

: “Friends, before us stands a paragon of courage!”

: “Hah hah. Want to just run away?”

: “...That's not a bad idea.”

: “How can you say such a thing?! We must rescue the Colonel!”

: “Natalia's right.”

: “Well, all right. How much do you want?”

: “76,500 Gald.”

: “...Fine here. So where's Jade?”

: “...He's outside.”



: “Yes, I'm sorry to report I'm just fine.”

: “Sorry to report? What are you...”

: “You all seemed so keen on leaving without me.”

: “Y-you heard that...”

: “Oh that's quite all right, Luke. You don't have to do that. I do appreciate the sentiment, but I can't possibly accept your offer to become an experimental test subject as an apology.”

: “No one said anything about doing that!”



: “Anise... you were happy to see me get sucked in, too, weren't you? Allow me to offer you this in thanks.”

: “...What... is... this...?”

: “It seems I picked it up inside the Ant Lion Man lair. By all means, wear it as we travel about. Of course, I'll be keeping my distance from you.”

: “Boo! Boo! Why do I have to wear this?”

: “If you prefer, you could assist me with some experimentation instead.”

: “...I'll be happy to wear it, sir!”

What can I say?

Anise



: “Anise, I guess...”



: *Swoon* “Is this my ticket to the high life?”

: “It's because Anise is cute...”

: “I never thought he'd pick Anise, of all people...”

: “He's probably worried about her because she's still a child.”

: “Yes, that's quite probable.”

: “Hey! Be quiet, you two!”

: “Okay!”



The dialogue here where Ant Lion Man asks for money is the same for Tear, Anise, Guy, and Natalia. As such, I'm going to be leaving it out, and pick up with when we reunite with the stolen person from here on out.



: “...What the heck?”

: “Don't ask me!”

: “Is that a Katz outfit?”



: “Yes, it suits you well.”

: “Hah hah. Some kids are definitely into this sort of thing.”

: “When you're dressed like that, please walk at least 30 feet from me.”

Jade.

: “Ewwww! I don't want to wear something like this!”

Guy



: “Guy, I guess...”



: “Hah hah. I didn't realize you were that attached to me.”

: “Tch. He picks friendship over sex appeal, huh...”

: “Well, I think it's only natural to care for your friends.”

: “Guy is Luke's best friend, after all.”

: “Still just a child, I see.”

: “Okay!”



Again, dialogue's the same.



: “Yeah. I don't really understand what happened, though.”

: “Hmm? What's that you're holding?”

: “Huh...? Hey, you're right... when I was sucked into the Ant Lion trap, I remember grabbing on to something...”



: “...Anise is the only one who looks like she could wear this.”

From this point on the dialogue is identical to when Anise puts the suit on in Tear's segment. So again, I'm skipping it.

Natalia



: “Natalia, I guess...”

: …!

: “What?! Really?”

: “It's because Natalia is pretty...”

: “Heh heh. After all your complaints about her, this is how you really feel, huh?”

: “My, this is a surprise.”

: “We've been friends since childhood. Of course he chose me.”

: “Okay!”



Skipping forward again.



: “Yes, though I'm covered in sand.”

: “Hmm? What's that you're holding?”

: “Oh...! When I was sucked in, I was waving my hands frantically...”



: “Ah, perfect! I'll give this to you, Anise.”

Same dialogue, moving on.

So yeah. Except for Jade's, the rest are kind of mediocre. Particularly Natalia's. I was hoping for a little more dramatic of a reaction for going so against the grain of the canon love plot.
