Part 23: - Everyone Hates Derek: Part II
Double update!23 - Everyone Hates Derek: Part II
"Actually, I've found that I have too much time on my hands, as Director."
Hoffman came to visit. It's good to see our patient in such a good mood.
"I'd think a doctor of your ability wouldn't have time to spare... Oh, are you here to visit your favorite student?"
"How are you feeling, Secretary Anders--?! Doctor Hoffman! When did you get here?"
"Derek wasn't my student, Richard... I didn't teach him anything. And Derek, I've known the Secretary for a long time, and came to see him."
"I'm sorry our visit had to be under these circumstances."
"It isn't your fault. This is no normal disease."
"Sorry, am I in the way..?"
"Oh, it's fine. Don't worry."
"Pretend I'm not here. I want you to be able to do your job. ...Richard, I'll be honest... You're going to be angry, but I took a look at your charts. I'm going to be taking part in the briefing, as well. Is that alright?"
"So you've started practising again?"
"Don't get excited. I'm only acting as an advisor, and it's only until you're discharged. Please forgive my... selfishness. Besides, Caduceus owes me for taking one of Hope's best surgeons."
"Well.. I have a request for you, also... Even if I said no, it wouldn't stop you. Do what you think is best."
"...Okay. Is Director Kasal here?"
"He should be in his office."
"I'll go speak with him, then. Get some rest, Richard."
"Is it another puzzle? I hate those stupid things..!"
"Yeah, he might look smart, but Derek used to copy off my tests--"
"That was a long time ago!"
"Seriously, it will only take a few minutes, okay?"
"........Whatever. But, I don't know how much I can actually help."
"I'm counting on you, Dr. Stiles."
"Okay. Let's get this over with..."

Same deal as last time: Fit the pieces into the slots until you find a solution that matches the honeycomb pattern above.
DAMMIT, so close yet so far. In Second Opinion, this dialogue was slightly changed in order to call Derek a nerd. But Derek is no nerd. By any stretch of the imagination...
Even Dr. Clarks showed up to laugh at us.
"...There's another puzzle, Doctor."
"................................."
Harder than it looks, ladies and gentlemen.
"...Doctor, would you like me to help...? ...Actually, that would really defeat the purpose of this puzzle."
"You've always been bad at these things, Stiles..."
Aha!
"....You don't look well. Are you alright?"
"Aha... I'll be okay...."
("Wow! That was almost a compliment!")
"Overall, you only contributed about 1%... But still, thanks a lot."
"*SIGH*"
"I had all of Caduceus help out this time. That should give me more than enough data. I should finish in no time."
"...So can you really do it?"
"What are you, stupid?! That's the reason I'm here."
"Now I understand... Having a disease is so painful... If Delphi is capable of creating something like this, then they must be stopped!"
"Of course, sir."
"But... I'm glad."
"Huh?"
"I don't know how to operate on patients, or research treatments. So, if the only way I can help fight GUILT is to be your test patient... then so be it. I will fulfill my obligation to Caduceus. Don't worry... I won't give up until you can find a treatment..."
We need to end this soon..
Next Time: Showdown with Thursday.
