Part 21: Chapter 4, Part 6
Yay, another loot post! This is Samhayne's house, but we're not ready to talk to him yet. I also haven't made his emoticon, so that's certainly a part of it.
Our first stop is to visit the unfinished lighthouse on the eastern shore.
: Who are you? Go away!
: I'm the Avatar.
: Go away, Avatar. I want nothing to do with the living. All I want to do is haunt this lighthouse.
: Had this lighthouse been working that night, we wouldn't have run aground, and I'd still be alive!
: Where is your ship?
: If you want to know where the Rogue is, bring me some rum. I haven't had a drop since I was killed.
: I have some rum with me now, in fact!
: Oh give it to me!
: Now tell me where the ship is.
: It lies at the bottom of the sea, due north of this lighthouse. But if you go there, treat her with respect: that ship is a graveyard now.
: Trust me, you don't want my crew to haunt you for disturbing their rest.
There isn't even anything on the ship worth investigating.
On the westernmost point of the island is an old cannon. Firing it once will make it spin north.
Firing the cannon a second time will open up a cavern on the far side of the bay.
The cavern contains a pile of gold and our first piece of magical armor, the Gauntlets of Fury. These will increase our unarmed damage, which is just super. Right now they're better armor than the gauntlets we have, so we'll use them anyway.
At the southernmost point of the island is a small cave. Inside is a bandit who drops some Raven's Choice Boots and a chest of jewelry...
...and a gigantic fucking emerald.
And last but not least is a small sewer near Samhayne's house, which has some rats, some gold, a gem and a scroll of Crystal Barrier.
By now we're running low on pack space, so let's stash some stuff near Samhayne's house. It'll be perfectly safe here, sitting out in the open on an island full of thieves and criminals. Especially the gigantic emerald. I hear pirates are terrified of those things.
...let's go talk to Samhayne!
