Part 31: C Ending (End)

Flash of light, then

The ascension dispute ended with the coronation of Joshua, eldest son of the king's brother, under whose banner Margrave Roienburg had fought.
The new monarch worked tirelessly to restore Artolia to prosperity, but the rifts formed of prolonged infighting proved irreparable.

That part is the same no matter what, by the way.
Also the credits play at this point, but I'll save them for when we're done with the whole shebang.

After this, we get a chance to save our file - it leads back to the Prologue and a New Game+.
Let's talk about what carries over in a New Game+:
- Any items, including any equipment characters were wearing. Only the Angel Slayer isn't carried over.
- Tactics and Techniques learned by any character.
- Any Plume skills already learned. Sacrificing a character again leads to no additional benefits.
- Any characters that are recruited again gain an additional slot for techniques. This includes Wylfred, Cheripha and Lockswell, who always join the party.
In a New Game+ some of the tutorial explanations, like Sin and sieges, are skipped as well.
Sorcerers do NOT carry their spells over. However, you can bring over the items that teach spells, so it's a simple task getting them back up to speed. Levels don't carry over either, but really, you're starting with what is likely a handful of 200% Sin weapons and possibly some Plume skills. It makes most of the game a cakewalk. Lockswell in Chapter II with the Caduceus and the Magic Bangle, with Sacred Javelin anyone?

In any case, we won't be doing a New Game+. But let's see if we can get a better shot at this. The prologue and Chapter I always more or less play out the same, so we'll use the magic of a previous saved file all the way back to just after recruiting Cheripha and Lockswell and we can pick where to go-
...Alright, I'll be honest. I really did intend to leave it to a vote. But the more I thought about it, this is one time I didn't want to leave this up to chance. We're going to Camille, because I honestly think it makes for a better narrative in the grand scheme of things to do Camille second no mater what order you choose to do them in. I'm open to arguments (spoiler tags please!), but otherwise join us next time when Wylfred helps out the rebels.
