Part 21
Alright, after looking into them, I'm keeping the goose and the sword. Kiss my ass Odin!
Along with that I'll be training Nanami to send up because she can get a decent hero value at a low level.
Also I need another mage like a need another asshole, so she's the one to go. With that decided I
visit my next location.
This place is another frontrunner in the "Really fucking annoying puzzle" race. You'll see in a bit.
I have got to get ahold of this guys decorator.
Ok, this is it for enemies in this place. That's right, you just fight groups of these tools over and over.
They really aren't anything special either, just decent defense and attacks. The real draw of the mansion
is how neat the level looks, not the monsters.
Oh, and the nice ass loot you can find is a good thing too:
Finally I reach the dungeons main puzzle.
Welcome to the maze. It's kinda like that movie "The Cube" except without death traps and with a better scenery.
This place can be a HUGE pain in the ass to get through as each room rotates every time you move between rooms.
Luckily if you get stuck this happy little fella comes and warps you out of the maze.
I have no idea why it looks like a floating samurai head.
After a little frustration and a little time spent browsing some FAQs I wind my way through the maze.
The object is to get in this middle room on the far right side. I continue to the right.
Ugly.
Well we can't just leave thig guy hanging around here.
OWWWWWWW!!!!! This jerk opens with an AOE attack that causes a bunch of bad status effects to my characters.
Luckily the damage isn't such a bug deal. I take a turn and get rid of the status effects.
After that we carry the attack to him.
Arngrim is rocking out the Grand Sting. Here's a sample of how hard he hits.
The wind up...
...and Dead. Arngrim's clincher is insanely powerful with the Grand Sting.
He was nice enough to drop an accessory.
We push the corpse out of the way and check out what artifacts he left us.
A REALLY good robe for a mage. True my mages don't really get hit, but it is nice to cut down AOE damage.
This is a pretty accessory. It sometimes reflects magic back on the caster with double the damage.
I'm pretty set with training Nanami now, but we've got a couple more places to explore until the next sacred phase.
