Update LVII - The Great Clusterfuck Recap Show

Alright, so with us racing into the endgame, a request has been made to give this, uh, staggered plot a bit of a recap, because some people might have lost track and some might have forgotten things. So here's how this is going to go: I'm going to give you the basic rundown of the main plot relevant information we've encountered, split up by the updates.

- Before the game: Valnar, Alaine and Asgar beat up Vincent Weynard in his dungeon. Then Asgar goes full megalomaniac, Valnar and Alaine disagree, and the two give Asgar a free haircut and lobotomy amongst other things. Asgar gets to chill out in the Crimson Realm while Valnar and Alaine shack up in Klennar and make plans for adoption.

- Chapter 1: Grandpa recaps the first game's main plot.

- Chapter 2: Nyria exists! She saves her mother by throwing knives into a vampire, who then gets lightning bolted to death.

- Chapter 3: Nyria gets a little sister called Jayna. While fucking about, Nyria's friend Jona dies, and Nyria decides to join the army while Jayna stays at home.

- Chapter 4: Valnar and Alaine show up in Thyrik looking for somebody to adopt.

- Chapter 5: They're still looking. Turns out finding a daughter to adopt is hard work.

- Chapter 6: They find Jayna and turn her into a vampire.

- Chapter 7: Jayna starts fitting in with her vampiric family. Meanwhile, a thief steals the spell book that Valnar took from Weynard's dungeon and takes it to Asgar's castle, where he revives Asgar's Blood Spirit with a spell. Asgar comes back to unlife and gets possessed by a Shadow Wraith, which we now know to be Ghadar, Elras mage.

- Chapter 8: Ghadar!Asgar convinces Jayna to come along to Asgar's castle. Valnar and Alaine search for her and the spell book, and are tipped off that they can be found in Asgar's castle.

- Chapter 9: Valnar and Alaine bop around Asgar's castle, failing at stealth.

- Chapter 10: They find Jayna, who takes them to the center of the castle, where Ghadar!Asgar is waiting. He takes their powers away from them and uses those powers to cast the world shifting spell, meaning the world gets royally fucked up. Valnar and Alaine are saved from certain death by Jinnai. They are told they need to find nine pieces of a stone tablet, which are in castles owned by the Clan of Holy Warriors.

- Chapter 11: Nyria still exists! She wakes up in Castle Zharas, which is owned by the Clan of Holy Warriors. She is shown one of the stone fragments.

- Chapter 12: Valnar and Alaine find what they believe to be a magic sword in a cave. Ghadar!Asgar breaks the devices in the magic chamber to get more power.

- Chapter 13: Valnar and Alaine show up at Asgar's place with their magic sword, it turns out the sword's a fake, and they get turned into statues and teleported into a cave. Ghadar!Asgar casts a spell to turn the skeleton army he had assembled into Elras mages. After that, Asgar's power was spent, and Ghadar hops from Asgar's body into Jayna's. Asgar then gets unceremoniously booted onto an island.

- Chapter 14: Asgar walks around for a while and eventually stumbles into the Valnar and Alaine statues.

- Chapter 15: Ghadar!Jayna and Gorgoth!Raron plan to take over more castles. They start with Castle Zharas, where Nyria still is. Nyria gets beat up, confronts the Elras again, then bails and finds a cave to hide in.

- Chapter 16: Nyria runs into Asgar. The two head to Castle Johlar. Nyria gets told version one of The Stone Tablet Story, where the Clan of Holy Warriors beat up some Elras, then destroy the stone tablet to protect the world. Nyria then tells Asgar that he needs to head to some tower if he wants to un-statue Valnar and Alaine.

- Chapter 17: Asgar heads to the tower and beats up the sorceress that lives there to get a soul he can use to cast the spell.

- Chapter 18: Asgar goes back to the two statues and un-statues them. Jinnai teleports Valnar, Alaine and Asgar (henceforth referred to as "the gang") to Asgar's castle. They take the castle back and are told version two of The Stone Tablet Story by Jinnai, where Pharaoh Ustra beat up some Elras, then destroys the stone tablet to protect the world, giving the pieces to the Clan of Holy Warriors. The gang is given some marching orders as well.

- Chapter 19: The gang explores the tower. Valnar has his first vision of Vincent Weynard reading the spell book. Potential treachery is afoot as Asgar and Jinnai say foreshadowy, mysterious things.

- Chapter 20: Jinnai gives more marching orders, the gang continues to explore the castle, and ends up murdering some bridge troll that lets them pass into the nearby city of Syrahs.

- Chapter 21: Nothing happens because of exploring and/or sidequesting.

- Chapter 22: In Syrahs, the gang finds a thief. They chase the thief through the desert and a cave system to the town of Mesdor, which is filled with guards.

- Chapter 23: Nyria still exists! She's busy trying not to get murdered as Ghadar!Jayna is attacking Castle Johlar. Gorgoth!Raron also shows up, and Asmos, Nyria's love interest of sorts, gets a magic spear shoved up his ass. Nyria and her crew bail with a teleporting stone and get the dying Asmos to a boat. Here, Nyria is told version three of The Stone Tablet Story by Asmos, where the Clan of Holy Warriors beat up some Elras, then destroy the stone tablet to protect the world. Also, Asmos's father died.

- Chapter 24: The gang returns to Asgar's castle and forms the plan of taking over the castle near Mesdor to allow them to continue pursuing the thief.

- Chapter 25: Nothing happens because of exploring and/or sidequesting.

- Chapter 26: Nyria still exists! She beats up some monsters on a boat and then heads to Castle Horan. There, she's told she needs to go to some temple to heal Asmos, so she does. The healers at the temple summon their "prophet", who turns out to be Jinnai! He tells them to activate the barriers to protect the stone tablet pieces, which they do.

- Chapter 27: The gang teams up with some mercenaries.

- Chapter 28: The gang buys a bunch of mercenaries. Castles will be conquered bit by bit from now on.

- Chapter 29: Nothing happens due to exploring and/or sidequesting.

- Chapter 30: Nothing happens due to exploring and/or sidequesting.

- Chapter 31: The gang busts up the group of thieves and gets the bat transformation spell, amongst other things.

- Chapter 32: Nothing happens due to exploring and/or sidequesting.

- Chapter 33: Jinnai gives some more marching orders.

- Chapter 34: Nothing happens due to exploring and/or sidequesting.

- Chapter 35: Nyria still exists! The gang takes over Castle Horan, and Nyria has to bail with Sir Aaron. She learns the history of her father, then makes it to a secret hideout for the Clan, where Jinnai has murdered everybody. We hear version four of The Stone Tablet Story from Jinnai, where the Clan of Holy Warriors beats up Ustra, and Aaron kills Asmos's father because he wants to use the stone tablet himself. He then whisks Nyria and Aaron away to somewhere we have yet to see. This is the last time we have seen Nyria to date.

- Chapter 36: Nothing happens due to exploring and/or sidequesting.

- Chapter 37: Nothing happens due to exploring and/or sidequesting.

- Chapter 38: Nothing happens due to exploring and/or sidequesting.

- Chapter 39: The gang conquers the final castle and has now obtained world domination.

- Chapter 40: Nothing happens due to exploring and/or sidequesting.

- Chapter 41: From torturing Gorgoth!Raron, the gang learns of how Pharaoh Ustra killed the Elras leaders and banished them into their spell book. We also hit level 10.

- Chapter 42: The gang drops by Asran and explores Weynard's dungeon. Valnar has more visions of Vincent Weynard. Alaine decides she needs to talk to Weynard's Blood Spirit, and therefore Valnar has to get laid in order to allow them to revive Alaine after killing her to send her to the Crimson Realm.

- Chapter 43: Valnar gets laid.

- Chapter 44: Nothing happens due to exploring and/or sidequesting. We also hit level 20 here.

- Chapter 45: The gang finds the first key to unlock the barriers and finds the first two stone fragments. Valnar continues having visions of Vincent Weynard and the Elras as we find stone tablets.

- Chapter 46: Nothing happens due to exploring and/or sidequesting. We also hit level 30 here.

- Chapter 47: The gang sends Alaine to the Crimson Realm, and she has a pow wow with Weynard where she learns some stuff about her past, like how she brought him the spell book. Also, the Blood Spirits are being ripped from the Crimson realm somehow. Alaine is then revived.

- Chapter 48: Gorgoth!Raron gives us a plot dump where we learn that basically the entirety of the first game's events were all orchestrated by the Elras, including everything that Weynard did. They used vampires to collect a whole bunch of soul energy, which they are now harvesting from the Crimson Realm. We also get to see Ghadar!Jayna harvesting those souls with the device in Weynard's dungeon. We then learn the location of Ustra's pyramid.

- Chapter 49: The gang makes their way through the third dungeon.

- Chapter 50: The gang finds the third stone fragment and the second key. We also hit level 40 and 50 here.

- Chapter 51: The gang finds the third key and the fourth, fifth and sixth stone fragment.

- Chapter 52: Nothing happens due to exploring and/or sidequesting. We also hit level 60 here.

- Chapter 53: The gang explores Ustra's pyramid. Valnar has visions of the Elras showing up and fighting Ustra, but Ustra foils them with a trap, banishing the leaders of the Elras into their spell book. The gang then gets hit by that same trap and gets vampiric sniffles.

- Chapter 54: The gang heads to the temple of the healers, where they find something that cures those sniffles. Valnar has an existential crisis inside his head, culminating in him beating up some Elras thing, apparently. They also read version five of The Stone Tablet Story in a book by Sir Aaron, where the Clan of Holy Warriors beats up Ustra, and Asmos's father dies from wounds from the battle.

- Chapter 55: The gang finds the Clan's hideout filled with dead bodies, and learns the location of the place the stone tablet originally was, though there's nothing there right now. They also find the fourth and final key. We also hit level 70 here.

- Chapter 56: The gang finds the seventh, eighth, and the ninth and final stone fragment. Jinnai shows up, basically thumbs his nose at the party, and bails, taking the stone fragments with him. His whereabouts are unknown. We also hit level 80 and 90 here.
