Part 413: Operational Report: 23/01/43

The battle with the naval fortresses continues to go the Japanese way.



The battle for Maloelap continues to go badly, as one of our units ceases to exist. Its the dammed fortifications.







Another Japanese sub is discovered off Canada, we report no hits, but its so dammed hard to tell.



They continue to hound the thing over the course of the day.







Our force of two divisions deep in Burma comes under attack by bombers. But there is no real damage done to our forces.







The battle for Kaingtu continues, as the Japanese still make their futile attacks.



Our forces near Nanning come under attack, and the large Japanese force will be grinding us down.









This was very much a lull day, but that's not a bad thing. I'm taking the men off Maloelap, and we'll have to send more in from Pearl. But beyond this, there is little for me to do.
