Part 484: Operational Report: 04/04/43
The Growler finds a large enemy convoy in the Marshall's, I suspect it is supplies and reinforcements heading for Maleolap, and being forced to take the long way around.
There is another raid on Dili. Not much more I can say about that, but it fills some space.
Just like the raids on Darwin do, but its always good to see Japanese planes being shot down.
We retake Suchow once more, as the Japanese forces have abandoned it.
At Kiangtu, we have once more dipped the Japanese below 15,000, and do our best to make sure they will stay there.
So we're finally seeing some movement at Kiangtu, after months of fighting, we may see an end to the combat there.
There is little left to comment on, loading of the troops to attack Maloelap is slow, there being no real port on Ailinalaplap, but they are getting there, planning for the Rabaul offensive is getting there, so we should see movement on that front by the end of the month, but for now, we're going to have to deal with quiet days.
Looking at my pilots, I see that I have a lot that I can transfer to training command, and I decide to use the Darwin situation to my advantage. Here is the current experience and replacement pool.
I then transfer about 10 of the Darwin pilots to training command. These are all double digit kill veterans, and will be great for training up the new pilots.
We'll come back to these numbers in a week or so, to see if there is any difference.
Mwah ha! Apparently my holiday camp, despite wanting to gouge me on everything else in good old holiday camps everywhere, has free wifi!
Sorry Leperflesh, your services may not be required, but feel free to jump in if it looks like I'm not going to post - I may be unexpectedly busy or the wifi may drop out.
PACOM - now posting on holiday!
