Part 498: Operational Report: 18/04/43
This may be a surprise to many of you, but I do have modern fighters in China, and have managed to move them to Shanghai. This was kept from you so that the spys who read this may not report back to their masters.
We cannot prevent the runway getting hit, but we can bring down three enemy planes that they were not expecting to lose. - and its a little far out for fighter support.
We have another great day at Kaingtu, and I'm looking to break the 10,000 man mark soon.
We also have a good day at Nanking, where the fighting is normally to small to bother mentioning.
Another of those eternal straggler forces is caught today, and we make sure that half of them are no longer going to be a problem.
Our advances into Indochina continues, and runs into a fairly strong force, but I doubt they will hold up for long.
We continue to see low level fighting at Shortlands, neither side seems to want to get into any real combat here.
A mostly Chinese day, but the Akyab forces have advanced again today and will be engaging the enemy again tomorrow.
The carriers are taking some time to bring their Hellcats up to speed, so I'll give them a few more days and then send them out for a sortie.
