Part 558: Operational Report: 17/06/43
Clunk!
Dammit.
The Japanese are massing more and more fighters in China – all to try and stop the Shanghai Express. We stop their sweep and lose no planes.
They do draw off our fighters and allow their bombers to hit our airfield.
The northern superstack takes Nanyang, and may well turn south towards Sinyang.
We continue to blow holes in Rabul, while the troops have managed to advance eight of the forty miles to the city.
The minor air combat in the Marshall’s continues.
We have a bad day over Cox's Bazar.
It seems that intel wish to add more ships to our lists.
This ship was damaged at Truk, but I'm not quite willing to accept her dead just yet. There is still no sign of the ship I know to be sunk on the list.
