Part 797: Operational Report: 11/02/44
The Japanese bomb Shanghai at night.
We then pick off a freighter off the coast.
The invasion force arrives at Ambon, and we begin to unload onto the beaches.

Thank god the Helen's come in conventionally.
The Japanese are trying to resupply Sorong, but our dive bombers stop that.
The Marcus Island squadrons are reduced some more.
There are some more sorties flown over Akyab.
Dam these Kamikazes! I was not reckoning on their stupidly long ranged planes!
Grrr.
