Part 28: Turn 31 - 22nd January 1944

The germans mass their troops and rout the lone Italian motorized Division.



Time to shift those losses the other way.






I have planes destroying the rail lines south of the invasion zone – the plan is to destroy their ability to bring in support units.



The RAF were on target for once.






Salerno is mine. Most of these units will now move to eliminate the remaining divisions holding ports. Mainly as it doesn't look good in the papers.



Time to get moving.



Holes are made.



I exploit a gap with a tank unit, then push to the north.



The flat terrain makes for good advances.



The Herman Goring Panzer Division proves my bane at the moment.



Even they cannot hold forever.



Fresh units move up and punch forwards some more.



This is to stop them digging in.



This just enlarges the gap.



Lets keep these guys pinned in place as well.
