Christopher Blair leads the Victory's fighters on a recon-in-force sweep to clear out Kilrathi patrols around Alcor V, and prevent them from detecting the Terran carrier as it makes it's way through the system's asteroid belt.

Ugh. Played this one on Ace to make the enemy less able to dodge missiles and therefore the whole thing substantially less painful, because half an hour of chasing Darkets in a Longbow wasn't really something I felt like doing. First time I've ever done this mission in something that's not a Thunderbolt I suspect; I'm not sure if I wouldn't run out of patience before managing to beat the mission with a Longbow on Nightmare - it's actually pretty hard given how many light fighters there are. What tends to happen is that the light fighters wear down your armor sufficiently that the couple of solid shots you inevitably take from the Asteroid ships and the Paktahns are either lethal or nearly-lethal and then the Strakhas finish you off. This isn't a problem in a T-bolt since then you can actually turn fast enough to kill the Darkets without taking much damage.
