Part 23: Lashing Out, Warsaw System, Vega Sector (Story)
Rapier it is, then. Have some cutscenes while I sort the mission update out (this will take a while since I don't have a video recorded yet though everything else is ready).I would have had a video by now had one of Concordia's Epees not decided that when I was launching a missile was a good time to fly right in front of me. Traitors (and people whose missiles are intercepted by happenstance) never win.

Episode 3, Mission 2 - Lashing Out
The Terrans go over to the offensive, launching a strike against a Kilrathi carrier and the destroyer blocking the way in.
Pre-mission cutscenes:
Two cutscenes. First, Cougar was feeling left out as the only primary cast member who hadn't done anything monumentally stupid yet and decides to join in:

: Captain! Here, have a seat old buddy.
: Cougar...[to Squealer] is he drunk?
: Yep. Absolutely out of it.
: Uhh, yes sir, yes, I'm absolutely drunk. I've been drinking, and now I'm drunk all over the place!
: Dammit people, who brought out the booze? Have you forgotten we're at war here?
: Hey, I..I remember everything sir. We're just having a little Christmas party, and the cats are invited too.
: Sorry about this Bill, I don't know what happened. He was already like this when we arrived.
: Son of a...well get him out of here and get him sobered up!
Secondly, Squealer (also, Sparrow) is bad at long-term planning:

Hey, Bradshaw!
: What is it, Squealer?
: Listen, I know you don't particularly like talking to me these days, and I don't blame you, but, well, I just wanted to thank you.
: Thank me? For what?
: It's just, you know, after Capella, nobody would have been surprised had you refused to let me fly on this wing.
: But you didn't. I appreciate the second chance.
: We needed every pilot we could get. Apparently.
: Yeah, I know. Still, thanks.
: Right. Hey, Squealer. What were you planning to do afterwards?
: Huh? After what?
: If you lot had gotten away in Capella, what would you have done?
: [laughs] I wish I knew, Bradshaw. We had no plans. Look, you know what everyone felt like back then.
: We'd just heard, on the news of all places, that they were going to mothball our ship. Then Sparrow runs into this pirate patrol, he makes an offer...
: We weren't in the mood to think about the consequences.
: Yeah, I think I understand. What a damned mess that truce made.
Only the flight deck update for this mission.

Hey, Captain B.
I hear you boys are going on a strike mission? Hope you give 'em hell!
Anyway, here's what we've got ready to fly for this mission.
Stilettos: 12
Gladii: 12
Rapiers: 11

Sometimes our fighter numbers might not necessarily track losses in the videos though they do here. Losses in Standoff do only happen on missions you fly in, but whether or not the LP and the game synch up depends on whether or not the run I use for the video is the last one I actually played of that mission. In this case it was. I try to make them synch but don't always succeed, so I thought it was about time this excuse appeared.
What the hell is going on?
Still fighting at Warsaw. The action we're doing in this mission is dealt with in one sentence in Fleet Action (they don't get the carrier, getting only two torpedo hits), so not much really to quote until we fall back to Sirius.
