Annie cursed as the airborne Blackjack dipped unexpectedly, her lasers and last rounds of autocannon ammunition flying wide of their mark. They mingled with Divots shots, although she thought maybe the other woman had scored a hit. The Blackjacks return fire was hardly spectacular, medium lasers scoring the armor of her Mechs arm and legbut if she kept missing like this, it wouldnt really matter, would it?
She bit her lip as the heat in her Mech soared. She was used to it, Lil Sure Shot was a Rifleman through and through, and Annie had never piloted anything else; nor did she ever intend to. She gritted her teeth as the Blackjack touched down for a moment then sprang forward on his jets like an angry bullfrog.
