Day 57 – Beasts of the south-eastern wilds

Alice gets some chocolates for breakfast to keep her happy while exploring, and Illyana has a revealing conversation with her dad:

This would be a lot better if she ever left the campsite. Too bad Julia didn't get it, as it would have saved a good bit of trouble leveling her stealth skill.



AM Exploration


I am pretty sure we have had this event before, but we may as well check it out.



And it is worthless. We could chop it down, but we are not doing terrible in materials, so I will leave it for now.



PM Exploration

Due to all the half-finished areas we had, we managed to get two areas explored in the afternoon.



It looks a bit like a whale to me, but let's send Julia to get some tissue samples to verify it.



We so not have any way to DNA test the tissue, so we will have to use a taste test instead.



Yuri will cook this up tomorrow and we will see what animal it tastes like.



At least the tub is unoccupied. I do not know what would be worse, finding something alive in there, or finding something dead in there.


Alive. Alive is definitely worse.




Julia gets even more meat and a level up, but gets both injured and sickened in doing so. Neither one is too bad, so she will just soldier on with the exploring tomorrow.



Night







Sixteen damage is too little to really worry about, so Al will just endure it rather than waste our precious medical supplies.



Crew Status:

Forgot to grab a screenshot, but it is pretty much the same as always. We were running low on water, but one session of fruit gathering gave enough water to last us for quite some time, plus we had enough herbs to cure both Julia and Winters.



Island Status:


The two afternoon events are marked in red. We have 3 jungle squares left, along with 16 unexplored areas. That means we are well on our way to finish exploring the island.
