Paralogue 6: A Man for Flowers

Seal Time

Vaike promotes to Berserker when it was chosen like a month ago or something. He's certainly within that range of being suitable for the last arc of the main story...you know, if you ignore that he ate like 30 grand worth of stat boosters.

Owain receives the Dread Sroll, changing into the hybrid class Dread Fighter. He gains access to axes and tomes while keeping his swords. The biggest benefit to being a DF is the huge increase to resistance, along with getting the Resistance +10 skill upon changing.

Swordfaire will take a hike since Owain will try and work on his other weapon ranks when given the chance.

Olivia's paralogue is located just above chapter 15, so reaching it requires unlocking other paralogues to connect to the 2nd continent or beating the mentioned chapter.

Olivia's S-rank will be unlocked by Lon'qu with that blasted Vase finally getting what's coming for him

S Conversation: You don't actually dislike women at all, do you? You just get nervous around us!

Here. Have some water.

Thank you, Olivia. You're a lifesaver.

Oh, hardly. I just flail around and pretend to dance, mostly. Anyway, I've started looking for new ways to be useful.

Your dancing is spectacular! It never fails to pick me up.

Ha! I dance like a ham someone rolled down the stairs. Just thinking of people watching me makes me cringe...

We're near the bandit's camp, Robin. They've ravaged surrounding towns with impunity for too long. It ends today.

Right.

*Far away*

(stabbed) Nraugh!

All safe now, buttercup.

I-Inigo?!

The crying part is over, love. Now give us a smile.

And perhaps a wink if a fellow can be greedy?

Inigo, you stupid fool! That bandit you slew has—

Dozens of friends who will be terribly cross with me? Aye. Worry not! I'll mop up the lot of them and be back in time for tea.

You mustn't! They'll kill you!

Ho ho! Don't be silly. I'd never let anyone ruin this perfect face. Surely you want them gone as well, yes? So that you may rebuild in peace?

Of course, but...

Then let us have no more frowns! A smile like yours is not a treasure to be locked in the king's dungeons! I'll meet you in town once I've sorted those pesky bandits.

Perhaps then we can discuss my...reward. Ho ho!

The map is a semi-maze with a mix of Assassins, Sorcerers, and Generals. On the outside walls, two groups of fliers will charge at our team right away, making them the priority in elimination.

Inigo's located a little southwest of the starting team, but we'll get to him in a bit.

Gods, that man is fighting them alone. Come, let's lend him a hand!

I'll tell you a secret: I'm starting to get annoyed by Nah and Tiki. They just kill too well, as in one-rounding most units without a pair-up or Rally Spectrum. I kinda wish Rescue or some mechanic that slows down my own units would exist at this point because they are just hogging all the EXP as you will see.

Anna Rescues Inigo for the 1st turn recruit, gaining the most minimalist level she can get.

...GYAAARRGH!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! Wh-what's wrong?!

S-sorry! ...Sorry. You just surprised me.

I'd say we're even on that count!

I shouldn't have shouted, but... Er, yes. Can we please start over? ...Ahem!

It was your ravishing beauty that caught me so off guard, milady!

I don't quite know how to reply to that.

Er, please don't look at me so...intently. It makes me terribly bashful. (leaves)

What?! W-wait! Don't go!

Drat, he's gone. He totally stole my line, too. Still, it's weird. I didn't have a problem talking to him... Maybe his shyness countered my own?

Though six might earn me a sweet kiss... Hmm... That IS tempting...

Inigo is hinting towards the secret objective of the map, which is letting him kill 5 units to get the maximum awards. Don't bother with 6, that doesn't do anything.

Just like his papa, Inigo comes with a lot of speed and a Killing Edge (The Edge is just a coincidence). Not exactly prime material to kill units that have 10 to 20 more higher stats than him.

Vaike sits on the edge to get an early counterkill going, with Chrom supporting him. Tiki will do the same for the southern fliers. Good thing about this mission is that the maze enemies won't advance as long as you stay out of their range.

Severa didn't exactly read her history books as she picks up a 2nd Hector's Axe to the inventory from the Event Tile.

Vaike gets the plan rolling as he doubles the Griffin Rider into the horizon. Not exactly a big accomplishment as Griffons are really slow and Vaike is backed up by Chrom's B-rank speed boost+Rally Spectrum.

Dark Fliers on the other hand are one of the fastest enemies in the game. Too bad that even with a forged high-rank tome, the DF can barely dent Tiki's defenses.

Cordelia finishes off the pest that bugged Tiki.

Tiki terrorizes another Dark Flier, softening it up for Lucina's clean-up strike.

Nah flexes her slightly superior speed over Tiki and doubles a northern DF, missing just magic for her awesome level.

Vaike manages to double barely after another Rally Spectrum, which is good because these DF's are carrying Galeforce.

Owain shows off the Dread Fighter's version of using Levin Sword, throwing it in the air and clapping his hands to summon a thunderstrike. The sword seems...completely unnecessary.

Noire snipes a flier for an easy kill before Anna pulls her out from certain death.

Stupid trees.

Not a bad start. He's already one of the highest strength characters on the team, although at this point the lack of speed and defense is too low for the strength to be worth it.

"If you really want to cast a death bolt, clap your hands *clap, clap*"

Very nice. Somehow I forgot how blazing fast Noire has already become.

I don't think Cordy's gotten a near flawless level (just missing Skill), Severa.

I'm starting to think Lucy just wants to stick to sticking her sword into things and they explode.

After a turn of healing and Rescuing, Anna gets to level 5 and learns Rally Magic. +4 magic to 3-tile radius, will never ever be used by Anna.

Olivia gets some stats after giving a dance to Tiki, who awaits to bait out some maze foes.

Thankfully, Tiki can't double the Assassin so Inigo can get some easy kills going.

Oh wait, no not speed! Anything but speed!

That's 1.

And that's 2.

And just like Lon'qu, Inigo has a fear of strength.

The two dragons have taken up guard duty for the maze entrance. The Generals can do the most damage, but they're not getting more than one shot if Tiki was playing serious.

Sorcerers are the worst. They're too slow and they don't have nearly enough HP so basically anyone that touches Tiki or Nah are automatically dead.

Yes, I'm complaining about enemies being too weak, this is what happens when you have 2 divine dragons on the team.

Inigo gets the third kill with an Armorslayer borrowed from Chrom's stash. Anna Rescues him out of the maze afterwards.

This Assassin is a demonstration of skills being much more annoying on enemies than the player's characters. Pass is a level 15 Assassin ability that lets the character go through enemies like they're allies, bypassing any walls put into place. So basically, he's in range to kill Olivia if we don't end him first.

Left with little choice, Owain clears the way for Nah (boosted by Rally Spectrum) to double the Pass Assassin into a hot puddle.

Tiki tries to remove Nah's Dragonstone+ in an effort to prevent her from killing everything, but I made a grave error in my placement.

Damn you, Nah for Dual Striking!

I mean just look at those stats, then remind yourself that Dragonstone adds about 5-6 more points to those stats.

Owain, clapping faster doesn't make him die quicker unfortunately.

Well, at least he got a level from the billion chip attempts.

Apparently, the downgrade in Dragonstone did nothing to utterly destroy that Sorcerer.

So yeah...those half-dozen enemies? All gone because Tiki and Nah are just too damn strong

Ugh, I spent a good 2 minutes on finding how to weaken the Assassin for Inigo and she crits somehow.

Inigo is just going to have to get his hands dirty for those last 2 kills.

Severa saw that, although not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing.

And that's 5. Not that bad, but I have to mention Robin's been the MVP with her constant Rally Spectrum. Otherwise Inigo could barely reach double-digit damage against freakin Assassins of all things.

At least Generals can't be one-rounded by Tiki even with Rally Spectrum.

Cynthia gets Tiki to boost her resistance as she takes on a Sorcerer, but didn't get the Dual Strike needed to win out.

Inigo gets the kill because eh why not, he needs the stats and it's pretty hard for him to get levels otherwise. Especially when he missed blasted strength again!

Noire cackles as she presses another of her arrows into hollow skulls.

Anna's becoming quite the amazing magic goddess. She could probably Rescue almost half a map's length with some pair-ups.

When your hit rate is lower than your damage output against Vaike, you deserve to quit in living.

The middle of the maze is blocked off by a door, but this will trigger the boss unit to move in and attack. Severa picks up another item from an Event Tile.

Frail as hell, but Robin can still pack the meanest punches when she takes a break from making everyone else monsters.

Uh, okay. Jamil is randomly a Grimal despite the mooks just being Ruffians.

He...exists, I guess? Not exactly the most threatening boss we've seen.

Lord Grima... Rain down...retribution...

Inigo comes in for the winning blow (after Vaike and Noire softened the boss up)

You are a fickle thing.

The villagers will sleep better for our good works, milord.

I can't begin to thank you, good sir.

Actually, Inigo did most of the heavy lifting on this one.

HAH

He is so terribly brave... Part of me wishes I could have been there to witness it. Er, but yes. Please accept this gift from all us villagers.

Your kindness flatters me. If bandits ever trouble you again, you need but call and we'll come running.

Rebuilding a town is hard work, but I trust you'll be just fine.

We'll do our best!

Killing up to 5 enemies gets cumulative awards, so getting 5 kills gets all the previous items.

2: Killing Edge
3: Speedwing
4: Bullion (M)
5: Hammerne

Wh-what? With me? Why?! ...Wait, how did you know my name?

A little bird tweeted it out. So is that a yes?

Um, all right, I guess.

...Er, yes. You see... What I mean to say is... Goodness, this is much harder than chatting up other girls I've met.

I suppose it would be quickest to just show you this...

M-my ring? But...I'm wearing it! How did you...?

Indeed. How does Inigo have your ring when there is only one in all the world?

Unless it IS your ring and I brought it back from the future!

What? You mean, like Lucina...?

Exactly. I knew my mother was a dancer, you see. So I've been scouring the land looking for all the dancers I could find. Not the worst job in the world, mind. Heh heh heh...

But now I've finally found you, Mother! And my dancing is all the better for it!

Oh! You dance?

Er sort of, yes. That is to say, I try my best. But some people don't appreciate male dancers.

Oh, don't listen to them! I think it's wonderful. I'd...love to watch you dance sometime.

N-no! Impossible! I'd be far too embarrassed for that! Besides, I'd rather watch you dance.

What?! N-no! I couldn't possibly!

I'm shyer than you are, Mother!

You are not!

*A moment later*

We're leaving, Inigo.

What, right now? B-but...teatime!

War is hell, Inigo. Now come with us or be left behind. (leaves)

Fine, fine! I'm coming.

Inigo doesn't gain much from Lon'qu, but that's not really his fault that Olivia gives one of the best class sets to her kid (Thief, Wyvern Rider are Lon'qu's contribution). Similar to Owain and Cynthia, whatever job he takes will be accompanied by his blazing speed and skill while hampered a bit by the so-so strength in relation to the other kids.

Official Bio: Olivia's future son. A friendly young man with an insatiable love for women. However, the ladies see his flirting as shallow and seldom bite. He secretly wants to be a dancer. The biggest night owl.
