Part 17: R-13 - La fille aux cheveux de lin

Today is "La fille aux cheveux de lin", the music we hear on return to Eleki Island.

Yeah. We've got some illegal trafficking going on. Illegal trafficking of humans, at that.

Yeah. Finally, we've uncovered the tip of the "Euro Maspro" iceberg.

I can't believe such a laidback island is their main base of ops... What's the plan, then, Remy?

Are you hurt, Kosshi?

You took your time asking. Worry about me first would you?

Sounds like you're OK. I'm going to take down their base. You handle the Hotel.

Understood. Remy...

Yeah?

Don't do anything crazy.

A little craziness is going to be needed to draw them out, I fear. Let's hook us some terrorists!

I've never been much of a fisherman.

At least we've got plenty of bait.

Understood.

Their terrible scheme to which countless children have been sacrificed. They have always remained in the shadows, however... And persistent cases of children being spirited away... have only mocked the efforts of the Agency. But now, Kosshi and I have finally reached the vanishing point... The last stop on our long journey. Papa, please, watch over me a little longer... This mysterious terrorist "Sundance Shot..." I'm going to be the one... ...to finally reveal who he is!

For this day, we get to control Remy Fawzil. Let's run around until we find someone to talk to.

Here we are, it's Mati!

Step's mother.

I see.

Please, Detective, what happened to my boy...?

He was caught up in an explosion at the shopping centre. To be more precise, he was the cause of the explosion.

My boy is dead and you tell me not to get upset?!

That Step was not Step.

What does that mean? Stop talking in riddles and explain!

First, I must correct you. I am a Special Agent. Not a detective.

And I don't care! What happened to my boy?!

Ma'am, what is your name?

Mati Sding.

Ms. Sding, where was Step born?

On this Island.

Are you sure about that?

What does that mean?

I thought, perhaps, that he was born elsewhere?

...

Go to Eleki Island and you'll understand.

Eleki Island?

There is a boat on the jetty down by the beach that will take you there. Remnants of the truth about my boy's birth should still be there.

Just what is this Eleki Island, then?

All of the power supplied to this Island comes from Eleki Island.

Eleki-tricity...

But that is only one aspect of the place.

I do?

You do.

Mrs. Sding...?

It's been a while, hasn't it, Remy Fawzil?

How do you know my name?!

Head to Eleki Island. Eleki Island awaits you.

...

Like we did with Sumio, we need to take the small boat over to Eleki Island.

Remember that warehouse from earlier? We're going in to investigate.

Just what is this...? I feel like I've been here before...

There isn't anything around on the first floor, so let's head up.

Eventually we find a little switch in the corner of the room.

Holes in the floor open...

Now we can jump down.

All ready? Go, Remy, go!

Perfect form...

A secret base, is it?

Reminds me of something out of Resident Evil.

Yeah. How are things on your end?

I'm under Eleki Island.

Eleki Island? What's going on?

I'll explain later. I need you to contact HQ and analyse the structure under this island.

What's there....?

I'm not sure yet. But it's some sort of subterranean plant.

Is it operational?

I think so. I'm continuing inside.

I'll do my best to find the terrorists from up here, too. Take care down there, Remy.

OK! You know I will!

We find a door behind the Welcome screen...

Am I sealed in...?!

It's like purgatory, as depicted in Family Guy. There's nothing here except a pulsing wall...

Then this pops up!

I took my doctorate in advanced mathematics. You can't stop me so easily!

Here's today's puzzle... it's a fairly simple math problem. We have to make 100, using the digits 9-1 (in order), using one subtraction and three additions.

We just have to shoot each number until we have selected the ones we want (there aren't + or - symbols to shoot).

The answer is 98, 76, 54, 3, 21, if you couldn't work it out! Now that's been input...

We find ourselves in an extremely long corridor... every now and then, we find a pulse on the wall, which we have to check, which brings out...

Eventually we find this one...

Let's get out of here!

We witness the plane explode over Eleki Island, but that's not the end...
