Nah, he's probably going down for the free prize.

it isn't free if I have to endure three hours and 100 floors of hell to get there.

ANCIENT CAVE TRIP REPORT:

This is a cool weapon

It says that it's worse, but they are in fact full of lies! Since it uses SPD and DEF to determine damage, most of the time it's actually more powerful than, say, the ZircoSword that Marco had equipped most of the run.

Not only does this give him good DEF, it also raises his HP by 100. Dare I say it makes Randolph. . . USEFUL?!

Apparently blue chests can exist in these rooms, too

Protection from Dark, Huge DEF and gives you several points in RES? Awesome.

Hey cool, I mean I'll be getting more female character so

Exactly the same as the Ice Amulet, but SHOCKINGLY protects from fire!

Apparently you can only get the croquette once. WHY ARE YOU FULL OF LIES GAME!

a pretty insanely powerful staff that both Melphis and Aima can equip (but of course I gave it to Melphis)

RAGING DYKE wants to battle!

Let's you cast Fireball, raises ATP and MAP

STOP GIVING ME GAME BREAKING SHIT YOU'RE MAKING THIS NOT HARD AT ALL! I gave it to Dei ps

ANOTHER?! This game can't give me enough blue chests.

If the black box is the only thing that survives a plane crash, why don't they build the whole plane out of the black box?!

I. . . what?!

I have no idea what this is, or what it does, or who it is for.

FLOOR 100 YES!

IT'S THE SLIME! HOORAY!

You made it. I'm the master of the Ancient Cave. Brave warriors, what do you wish?

Here's the deal: I'm picking best weapons, so I'll explain that in a second. The second one is self explanatory, but worthless; there is another way to make the cave 200 floors and it comes with a bonus. If you pick the third, he disappears, but the next battle you fight outside the cave, each of your people will gain like 3-4 levels. Not really that great either. I came here for the best weapons.

Well then. . . Go north, north-west on the sea to the Paresia Shrine. There are stones on the top floor, that is where the best weapons are. Then. . . may your journey be full of luck.

POOF he disappears, leaving you with an empty floor. Let's use providence and go sailing. The shrine is easy to find, warp to Cobe and then sail north like five squares and there it is.

Here's a tip about this game: what the in-game dialogue says and the actual place names are sometimes different for no reason. Anyway you have to go through five floors of this, it has the same enemies as Broffo Cave (since you had to go there first to be able to get the weapons here, they shouldn't be so hard)

This is an okay IP, it let's you attack 3 times in one turn, Marco and Dei and Deckard and probably Randolph can learn it.

This is the fifth floor (the chest is a goddess tear)

Stones! 12 of them! One for each character! Some are weapons, some are pieces of armor, one is a shield and another is an accessory. You can choose 4 items each time you get to basement 100, meaning you have to do it at least 3 times to get all the ultimate equipment Note that each piece gives that character +30 to their own color SF (though this is just for them, it doesn't flow into other people) so it makes learning IPs a little easier. . . maybe.

Hero's Sword? I'm the hero, so obviously this is for me!

This sword is actually better than Dual Blade but yeah. It's like a 700 power sword.

Justice? Clearly this is for Aima, since no one else here gives a shit about Justice.

A shield (!) for Aima, it raises her Attack by some ungodly amount, as well as her SPD by a little (like all her fists). Since it gives her +30 to green, she gets 30 HP and DEF by equipping it. The best part? Since Aima can sometimes equip staves/rods, she could equip, say, the Alum Staff on top of this shield and be even more game breaking than this shield already makes her. So let's say Justice Bracelet + Alum Staff + Cat Ring = DIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDEATHDEATHDEATH

Clearly this is for Deckard. No question. No one else here needs such a big sword to overcompensate.

Another like 700 power sword, for Deckard, also gives him +30 red SF so that's another 30 ATP. Think these aren't game breaking enough?

Hmm, Mousse is a holy spirit right?

Hmm, just some piddly ring?

Oh it just raises all his stats a few points right? Right?

. . .

Aaaaaaaaand that's the sound of the game breaking.

Oh by the way did I mention that YOU CAN BRING EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THESE PIECES OF EQUIPMENT INTO THE ANCIENT CAVE WITH YOU?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?!!!!

I'd go back to get the other four pieces for my other four people, but I think I'll wait as not to COMPLETELY destroy the main game at this point. Okay next time we continue the story, laughably.
