Mega Man 3

Part 13: Intermission

Video Comments:
That sure is a stage. After our climactic duel with Break Man, which...resulted in exactly nothing, quite fitting for how underwhelming it was, Mega apparently says fuck it and returns with a mission accomplished to Dr. Light; after all, we killed the Robot Masters gone maverick, retrieved the energy crystals, routed out eight more bastards making trouble and finally got Break Man to reveal himself...and flee like a pussy.
Only to discover, shock and awe, that Wily was the bad guy all along...points for getting the gullible idiots that are the main cast to do all the work for you, I guess? "Let's build a giant-ass death machine murder robot. It's for peacekeeping only, of course." Great idea, everyone follow the madman who tried to take over the world twice. If it was Light's idea, he should be kicked somewhere uncomfortable repeatedly.
We also discover that in a game with one non-ending cutscene, someone managed to screw up translating the name of the main fucking villain. This kind of set the trend, I think, most of Capcom's translation work, as far as I know, is atrocious.
At best.
So, MM3's experiment with having an actual plot twist is done and over with - please raise your hand if that surprised you when you were like seven and first played the game, I'm genuinely curious to know and won't laugh - and it's off to standard procedure again. We even got a giant skull castle to invade again. Wily's really an evil genius if he manages to build those things again and again without anyone in the world noticing. Maybe they're really underwater, or in Antarctica. Or in space...oh wait. They did that.

Yeah, nagging on the plot is like laughing at a retarded child. But it's all the fun of that without any of the guilt, so why not, I think it's an obligation or something.

On what follows in the actual video, maybe you noticed that I made it with Movie Maker, because fuck getting the slideshow done with AviSynth, it was enough of a pain to make all those images (please appreciate, thumb-up and subscribe to my YouTube channel, I'll look into donations). That said, I hope I got a few of you to raise their eyebrows. Maybe it was painfully obvious. Dunno. Less so than the plot twist (I'm doing it again ain't I).

Boss Comments:

*whistles*

Break Man is utterly pathetic. The only thing he's got going for him in this fight compared to the others is that he's now immune to all special weapons. Rather that than being weak only to Gemini Laser, you're not allowed to miss a shot or similar insanity. I don't even think he has more health than before.
