"Find much higher ground..."
"Find its hidden vitals..."
Notes -
- Argus is a bull-man-type guy! We've seen the design a few times before No horns, but he still has a bull's legs and hooves. He is 75 feet (22m) tall.
- Argus, Barba, and Valus might look like copy-pastes, but there are differences. Argus may be shorter than Barba by a few feet, but he's definitely broader across the shoulders. I'll post a picture in a couple of updates that shows this.
- "Argus" is Greek for "shining" or simply "bright". He's definitely a reference to Argus Panoptes.
- On a random note, it seems that Dormin still gives hints on hard mode At least he did for this guy. In one of my many botched recordings, he kept saying "HEY, BRO. STAB HIS WEAK SPOT " Yeah, I got it. Thanks
- Note the stomp move he does after I handle the second seal. That will DESTROY you if you are unlucky. Several of this jerk's moves are one-shot-kill attacks, including the hoof-stomp. In a test recording, I saw him telegraph a stomp, moved aside, and didn't wait to see WHERE he was stomping. Rather than slightly side-stepping it (was trying to get him to stomp a tile), I walked in to his aim and he SQUASHED me Another time, I fell off his head, landed at his hooves, and he did his tap-dance number on Wander's noggin. On the same topic, you'll notice that he is pretty good at aiming/hitting you with his sword. It doesn't have a shockwave like, say, Valus' club (note how it barely misses me, but doesn't knock me over), but he can definitely trail you pretty easily with it. Both of those misses he landed on me were dumb luck.
- us is a big ol' jerk. He definitely swings/shakes around a lot. If you stab his noggin when he tries lowering his head (telegraphing a big head-jerk), it cancels it out. I pulled it off once or twice in the video. Anyhow, if you have a penchant for full-strength stabs (which were easy to pull off for most colossi), then this guy and the next dude will break you of that. The best way to tackle Argus is to not get greedy on stab-strength (except for the hand. You can charge all you want on that). Having said that, he still shakes around like crazy. Looking back, I could've reached his chest seal by releasing grip and falling to it, but I wanted to be cautious. I almost got back to rest my grip, but he cheated <> Additionally, the weakness on his tricep is darn near a one-way path. I tried going after it secondly in an earlier recording, and I didn't make it back up! Also, on that note, you can hang on to his arm through the cinematic when he swings it around. I released it, though, because I was done with his other seals
