Part 2

I should probably explain the world map a little better. You see all those weird little symbols at the bottom of the picture in the last post? Those are what you call bonuses, and each territory contains a few of them. Our starting territories give us a total of the following bonuses:

10% more cash per turn.
5% cheaper aircraft.
15% cheaper infantry.
No armoured bonuses, whatsoever, which sucks.
1% one extra damage when we attack.
1% less damage when we get attacked.
5% more fuel per mission.
-5% repair cost.

Now here's each individual region of our empire, starting in the top left and moving clockwise:

And this is the purchase/repair screen, where we can take a look at the stats of our new units and then put the new units to work in Pacifica's conquest:

Take note of that picture above, it's the workhorse heavy tank of America. You'll be seeing a lot more of these things than anyone else, as everyone has access to them with the exception of the EU and Russia, who get the T series and Leopards respectively.

The stats are pretty self-explanatory, with the vertical bar representing, obviously, effectiveness against vehicles, effectiveness against infantry, effectiveness against aircraft, armour, and collateral damage cause by using this thing's attacks. Collateral damage is a good way of getting yourself turned into an evil power and means that if you attack something in, let's say an urban square, you're going to cause a lot more damage than a bunch of cheapo infantry would in the same situation. The more collateral damage you cause, the more likely you're going to move down the bad guy list and unlock your badguy powers.

Pacifica's are quite awesome.

There's good guy powers are okay as well.

Continuing, the binoculars represent how far this thing can see, how far it can shoot, how much fuel it gets, and how far it can go. Here are the stats of the LAV for easy comparison.

Now you might be asking yourself why I would ever use the Abrams over the LAV when the LAV is an excellent tank killer, has absurd defense, and is pimp way to pick up honies. Well, the answer is that these 'effectiveness' bars are pretty inaccurate and the only way to get at the really detailed information is to look at them on the combat screen. See, while it looks like a heavy tank it doesn't have many hitpoints and will get annihilated in a fight.

You couldn't tell that just by looking at this screen, however.
