Operation Mange Poutine: Canadian Turn 2

The Motor Infantry trundle along forwards again. They are positioned well enough for reserve troops. They are close enough to be deployed to the battle at a moments notice, yet they are spaced conservatively enough so that they can access any position along the battle line without too much difficulty (In case of -say- a Northern Wind strategy).

Speaking of which, I am quite a bit more interested in scout reports than in troop movement for the time being. There is movement of Chinese motorised and mechanised forces to the center of the map (note to bunnyofdoom: get on that), but the southern segment of the map is entirely empty of enemy troops.

I'm not quite sure what to make of that. It is possible that the area is being watched, or a trap is being set; regardless, we have an excellent opportunity to either

A) Consolidate/position our forces to the south to the best of our capacity with the afforded time (at least 3 turns I would imagine) or

B) Throw the entire southern front at the Chinese spearhead, and regroup before enemy reinforcements arrive.

Option A will be immediately beneficial, and is certainly the safer of the two plans, but Option B could pay off massively and allow us to seize an early tactical advantage.

Either way, we should not directly occupy the empty southern pocket, because it might as well have the words ambush written all over it. In fact, here is my in-depth tactical assessment of the situation:

I hope we can keep that in mind.
