Part 50: Part XXXVII: Hear the Footsteps of a Dream - Happily Ever After
Part XXXVII: Hear the Footsteps of a Dream - Happily Ever AfterYou know how I said there's two bad endings? There kinda is and there kinda isn't. The second bad ending is acquired by saving Nio but not getting any ending flags, but the thing is is that it's virtually identical to the first non-bad ending I'll be doing. In fact, the only real difference is that it's shorter. Trust me when I say it's not really worth having its own update.
As a note, the video link for each ending will be embedded along with the first screenshot for every ending update. Same goes for the first screenshot for the credits.
It's been a while since I saw Mr. Keith... I've met lots of people, learned how to synthesize various things, gone to different places... But I still can't save Nio... Maybe it's impossible for me...
Mr. Keith!
Sorry to intrude. I've finished my research on this land, and was planning to leave today, but... There is something I need to give you. Come outside.
O-Outside...?
Sis!
Nio, how did you get here...?
That man saved me! I was in this really dark place... And then I heard his voice from out of nowhere, so I walked in the direction it was coming from... And then I was able to go outside. Waaah, I was so scared, Sis...!
Nio...I'm glad. I'm so glad...!
While I was investigating a certain ruin, I coincidentally ended up finding your sister. I stole your purpose from you. Please forgive me. Although, it's partially your fault for taking too long...
No, no. You did something that I couldn't.
You "couldn't"...? Do you really believe that?
Huh? What do you mean...?
In my opinion, you were fully capable of rescuing your sister with your own power. The reason you couldn't...is probably because of something you lacked.
Something I lacked...?
Knowledge, or skill, or maybe something else... I don't know what it might be. However, I'm certain that...it wasn't your talent for alchemy. Either that, or you didn't take alchemy as seriously as I thought you did. You should give some thought to what you lacked. Farewell.
I guess Mr. Keith has a point, but... As long as I'm together with Nio, I'm happy...
